He has experience, strong musicianship, and is excited if you're also excited about the music. He wants the music department to continue to grow, as he should, and has constantly done his best to make this happen through dedication and always advocating for the greater good of the students. As a conductor of the WE sometimes I didn't quite agree with his musical decisions, but that's subjective. Loves his job. I'll be surprised when the day comes where he says he's sick of what he does.

He wants to become a college band director so he overworks us with too many concerts without asking us. Also he gave us a 92 on the district band concert :(

He (Along with Mr. Kahalahoe) is the conductor for the band program. I have him for symphonic band, the lowest level (There are three bands, organized by skill level). Sometimes he can do annoying stuff, like redoing a small section repeatedly, especially aggravating if, as a percussionist, you're not playing in that section. This is why I prefer Mr. K over Mr. W, but he's still a very competent conductor who helps give our band program a very nice sound.

ONLY complaints: We were never seated properly. He pushed too much for me to do band again when I knew I needed to figure out what I'm actually going to do with my life. I still don't know what I'm doing.

I don't know what these people are talking about (probably just Frosh). He doesn't really seem like he knows what he's doing. Oh well, easy 96!

he's an excellent teacher. we had our doubts in the beginning but he really knows what he's doing and he's improved the program vastly. one of the hardest working teachers in the school (if not district)

Should learn how to seat people by their ability to play music, not by personal favorites and stereotypes.
