I think you all judge her unfairly. My my '87 class was her 1st year in FDR and although she was stern, was not mean at all. Unfortunately she needed to "parent" some of the students, but she did her job and did it well.

Vocel was... how do I put this? MEAN!! I swear she would run around the auditorium and take baseball caps off PARENT'S heads during preformances, then try to keep them! However she did make sure you knew the score w/her.

Yes, the rumors are true. I was snooping around Freshman Orientation when they introduced the new principal Ms. Maione. Vocel was mean, but I liked her.

I hear she's pretty mean, but atleast she keeps the school campus beautiful and in-order. Too many potsmokers/slackers in the school and she keeps them disciplined.

My principle, Ms. Vocel, is very strict. But if she wasn't, then the school would be out of control. F.D.R. is like the only HS in that part of Brooklyn with no metal detectors.

i know she is very strict but it is the way it should be. she should be like that because if she hasnt, the school can be unsafe.

Ms.Vocel is doing what any principal would do however the way she is going about it may not be cool but at least our school has order. It could have been worse we could of had the same principal that Tilden H.S has!
