well Mr.Luis is not terrible but no where near great. With his back story we learn so many times tht i dont learn math. He exspects so much from us tht we cant produce by wht we learn in his class. sooo if u have him good luck.
Have him as a study teacher and yells somewhat. To the people who said he minuses one point per missing homework: EVERY MATH TEACHER at our school does that--just ask them.
he's not a good teacher but not as bad as people say. he gets frustrated and yells too much, but a LOT of teachers do, so i dont get why everybody picks on him specifically. its true that he only want
boring and just a plain bad teacher. he doesn't explain. he just tells us the "rules" senselessly
You have to be good at math and already understand some of the material to do well. He goes on random rants and can't explain stuff but is okay as a person.
Terrible. Worst math teacher I have ever had. I am bad at math and even I was able to correct him sometimes. He gave me an F+ one term even though I did not deserve it at all. He caused many of my friends to be kept back or take reachback. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS
Even though he can and will teach you how to tango, math is a different story. Most students fall alseep during class from sheer boredom, but he is always available for extra help in the morning.
Mr. Luis cannot teach math because he is a physics teacher and has not adjusted well. I had him two years and both were awful. He is difficult to talk to and does not listen to students, unless theyre 36Cs with short skirts and begging for a better grade. He does not teach and gets wrapped up in one problem from the homework that will take him the whole period. He'd test and re-test when the whole class failed, and then he'd be mad because we were behind the other classes. great dancer, bad math teacher.
don't know about class, but he is a great study teacher
As a Teacher I don't think hes as bad as what people say about him. Hes pretty cool too. I guess if u do all ur hw (correctly) you can do well.
never had him as a teacher, but as a homeroom teacher. hes really cool and showed us pics of him on vacation.
Can't stand this man or his class. Inappropriate, so unclear...basically can't teach
Even though the sylabus says HW's count for only 10% of your grade he will take a POINT off of grade for each missed HW. I had an 89 test average and failed.
his grading policies are weird(85% tests, 15% notebook, -1pt per missing hmwk) but he is very funny&witty&i always enjoy his class-we even have inside jokes
Alex is a nice guy, but in terms of teaching, he's an imbecile. He never clearly explained anything to us, and most of the time wouldn't slow down his lectures.
This teacher basically reads straight out of the book. He is bias towards the good students and attempts to stir up trouble. Enjoys talking about SALSA all day.
doesn't know his material. his "notes" are exact duplicates of examples fromt he book. inappropriate behavior and lashes out at students.
i have him dis year en so far i dont know how well dis man can teach he spends too much time goin over homework and not enough on teachin us but hes a nice guyy
He puts too much emphasis on homework, and not enough time preparing for tests.
really bad teacher to put it simply he cant teach n he gives really easy tests but the way he teaches u, its gona seem like its not easy. but hes a nice guy
Worst teacher I had. Unclear, disorganized, inappropriate, didn't know phys.
he didn't know how to teach, arbitrary grading system
Terrible at fielding student questions and providing answers
the best for algebra. he gave me a solid foundation. and a good man.
