Everyone is failing her class and she asks us whose fault that is? It is Purdys fault for the bad teaching and continuous nonsense lectures all class. Really bad teacher and I don't reccomend her.
Coming from someone who usually gets very good grades, she is honestly one of my least favorite teachers and will remain one. She's very knowledgeable, but she doesn't teach us concepts in a way that we'd remember them and expects us to know everything after going over it briefly one time; I always have to rely on others. Also, she doesn't help in a friendly way. I only took reg. chem because I wasn't planning on majoring in it, but I wish I had taken honors just for a better teacher.
Ms. Purdy says her main goals a of a teacher are to have her students leave the class with skill and she doesn't care if you know the first thing about chemistry. OUR GRADE IS DETERMINED IF WE KNOW CHEMISTRY!!!!
She just announced to our class that ¨never¨ in her 30 years of teaching has she gone into conferences with 2/3 of the class with at a failing grade (F). She doesn't help and is a teacher that believes that the student should teach his/herself. She is very unclear and lectures (ironically) about how we waste time in class while she spends the whole class period doing this, and the rest of the time is spend joking and talking about her personal life.
I am deeply saddened that, after all this time, Mrs. Purdy continues to have a teaching career. Most classes consist of her spouting irrelevancies about her life for an hour then giving us an elementary-level worksheet. She also speaks to us as if we are kindergartners. If I wasn't taking another chemistry-related course with an overlapping syllabus, I would surely be failing. I wish I had more than 500 characters to express my distaste towards Mrs. Purdy as a teacher.
I love purdy, she's an awesome teacher, especially in p/a!!!
she is so cool and very helpfull i think they should give her a raise cause she is awsome
