Cool teacher, his class was enjoyable and he got into debates and stuff
First semester, he seemed lazy. He graded 5 assignments. He looked depressed and read retirement plans. Something changed him nonetheless. Since we started Malcom X, he has graded every paper. The test was a B*, testing obscurities, but he took pride in reading essays, teaching the book. He is also ruminant. ELA9, I speed-read Siddhartha for a test. I learned one perspective--the teacher's. In a conversation w/ Mr. D, he gave me a heap of advice--all from Siddh'. I never felt so fulfilled.
I don't understand those who claimed to have a bad experience in Mr. Daniel's class. I've never in my life met a wiser man. Although he does take long to grade stuff, he easily makes up for it with his teaching methods. He changed my perspective of life and engaged my brain in a level of thinking I had never reached before. Not only was he a teacher, but a friend to me too. He didn't hesitate to aid me when struggling with things like essays in another class and is cares about all his students.
He really loves books and reading and helps you love it too. He took lots of time with me when I needed help with my writing.
Awful teacher. You will never get an essay back because he's lazy and never grades anything. Your writing won't improve at all.
This is by far the worst teacher I have ever had. VERY unorganized and does not grade much. If you dont get an A on the test, you will not get an A in the class. He barely teaches and we learn nothing
A great guy and very approachable... but not exactly the teaching type... doesnt grade properly nor is he organized... but if u get to know him.. u will do good in his class...
Had him Freshman year, his grading technique and organization needs work. I do know him on a personal level and he is a very cool person. His lectures and lessons make up for all the negative.
I had him last year and I didn't learn one thing from his class. We had one test, which he did not pass back, or grade. If you ever get him, I recommend strongly that you switch out.
Mr. D. loves books and helps you love reading and thinking about books and about life. Lots of people have hated English before they got into Mr. D's.
Mr. Daniel doesn't teach you anything, and never hands back papers. Switch out while you can.
Shouldn't keep offending the students and should actually grade and pass back homework and tests.
