Ms.Craven was a great teacher to begin BLS with. She made very clear what were the expectations of the school and taught me a lot.
Mrs. Craven was my favorite teacher. She seemed strict in the beginning but she ended up being extremely fair and kind to all the students. I learned about literary techniques that are helping me in English 2 years later! I wish she was still my English teacher!!!!
Great teacher who cares about her students well-being academically. She may be strict, she may seem mean, but in the end, her tests will be pieces of cake if you study! Keep you're chin up and get out those notes! - had her last year.
She is a very strict and difficult teacher. I had her for sixie year and she can be funny at times, but at the beginning of the year trust me, you WILL be scared. The average on her tests are Ds, she doesn't explain anything and I learned nothing from her. However, she is O.K.
Whenever the name "Ms. Craven" popped up in any conversation, many would associate her with the word strict and fearsome. This may be the case, however, when it came to the policies, homework, and your dedication to learning. Yes, she is strict, I was once too scared to even take a step into her classroom. However, as the year started passing by, she didn't seem so scary. It was mostly because she takes her student's education very seriously and if you stay friendly she'll reciprocate that back.
She was one of my favorite teachers. In the beginning I didn't really like her I thought she was very strict but as time went on she grew on me. She has helped me so much in my classes I have now. She does give a lot of work sometimes but the work is fun and she really cares about her students. SHE IS AMAZING. You just need to pay attention and try and you will love her. Savor it while it lasts.
I had Mrs. Craven last year, and she's the best reading teacher. She can be very strict and, like some people said, scary. But if you put in the effort and get on her good side, she is a great teacher. Her all time favorite books are To Kill A Mockingbird and Alice in Wonderland. My favorite memory was when she took an entire class just to go in depth with the metaphors and satire underneath the surface of Alice in Wonderland, and she got so excited. She's a great teacher and I recommend her.
May seem strict at the beginning but in the end she is quite nice, and in the long run what she taught you will help you build a strong foundation for your future years at BLS!
Mrs. Craven is my favorite teacher at BLS. She comes off as extremely strict, especially at the beginning of the year, but as long as you stay on her good side she is very kind and helpful. She often makes jokes and schedules fun activities to try and make class more fun. A lot of students think she is too hard on them, but as long as you do your homework the tests and quizzes are not extremely hard. She goes into great detail on the books we read and is always ready to help when needed.
You have to know the answers for her exams. Specific but somewhat vague.
Ms. Craven is very strict and sometimes even is scary, but if you really think about it she is one of the better teachers in the 7th grade. She teaches you many useful literary terms that will be constantly used again in the years attending Boston Latin School. She follows the rules strictly, though. So don't ask to go to the bathroom 10 minutes after class starts or before class ends. And ALWAYS wait until you're dismissed by her, she'll hold you for as long as it takes.
Mrs. Craven has been the best teacher I have had at BLS so far. She teaches you so many literary techniques that you don't learn until much higher grades. The homework takes a while to do, but as long as you do it, the exams are really not too bad. In the beginning of the year I wasn't sure about her, but by the end she was by far my favorite teacher. I wish I could have her again because she was always fair, understanding and helpful.
Ms.Craven is a pretty tough teacher, but at the end of the school year she's a lot better. She's mostly strict, but she can laugh at times.
I am in her class this year and from other students who had her before have different opinions. Some say she gets nicer towards the year, some say she's the worst. I have a student teacher who is teaching us now and I wish I could replace ms. craven with her. the pop quizzes are too specific. If she's in a good mood during your class you are very lucky and if she isn't then I wish you luck.
she makes us do to much cornell notes and it takes too much time. she also needs to stop giving us pop quizzes please
Had her in my first year at BLS. Her class was the hardest because she was very passive aggressive and the classroom environment was very stiff and uncomfortable. But after a while, you learn to love her. She isn't as mean as you think she is.
She's one of those teachers that you immediately don't like, but during the school year, she warms up to you and you start liking her class a bit. She has a short temper and obviously plays favorites. Ms. Craven knows a lot about books that you read in class, but most of the time all you do in class is silent packet work. Her quizzes are pretty hard because they have questions about books, but the questions are incredibly specific. All in all, if you want to pass, just study a lot.
Wish I had her again. Pretty strict when your in her class but you'll end up loving her. I learned a lot from her even though those reading checks aren't fun. She's very caring and just a great person overall. She's intimidating at first but you can tell she is well organized and is great at what she does
I love her. She helps us learn, even though sometimes she can be strict.
I hated her when I had her... but I love her now. Not fun being in her class, but she's a very great person.
in the beginning of the year she is pretty strict but later on you'll find urself loving her!!!
i do the homework and it takes me a log time and thenif i accidentally do it wrong she freaks out!!!!!!!
She is very mean and screams at people for no apparent reason. Although, that is so reason to hate her...she gives us a break a lot of times and I am thankful for that. I don't like the vocab she give
She was mean and barly alowed any questions. She told us to do the homework (like any other teacher) but then she never excepted mine and gave me like a 0 so i dislike her
Mrs. Craven is the best teacher not mean at all and always fair. I look forward to her class every day.
Seems to ALWAYS call on me when no one else knows the answer pretty anoying
She knows every student's name the first week of school!
didnt like her when i had her, but now i do like her. she was a good teacher if you think about it.
when ya meet her you'll think she's mean but when you look back you realize she was awesome
(Extremely) nice teacher who would actually talk to you and tell you about your mistakes. She has a nice personality and can be strict with requirements.
A good person, good teacher! Although, I hated her grammatical exercises...eww...
She's too hard when you don't have you work. Though it's for you own good, it still gets on your nerves. I still like her though.
i love ms. craven . she is so nice even though she is hard. you just have to do your work and she is totally fair.
Wicked hard but you'll relized that you learn a lot in her classes.
i love mrs. craven...shes my favorite teacher. most of the students in my english class think shes really mean but i think shes awsome!!! love ya mrs. craven!
shes a great teacher!!! veyr fair and nice when the students are nice to her too! i learned a lot in her class she was great!
very helpful for us learning grammar and other stuff, but sometimes VERY strict..
