I was her student in 2003, she was tough, and probably one of the smartest people I've ever come across in my life. She was so great, she had faith in me and helped me become the teacher I am today.
Looking back, she helped prepare me for college. Her classes were tough. I've read some of the reviews, and can agree she could have loosened up a bit, but it's a tough balance when so many of us could/would get unruly if there was even a crack. I'd like to think I could have been a bit less tight, but I'm not a teacher. She was the complete opposite of a slacker teacher. She pushed us and held us to a high standard. At times it seemed absurd. Painful, but with purpose.
I had Mrs. Hogaboom in 1993. I remember she rode her students like a rented mule, but she gave me the foundations to be a proficient writer--a skill I later appreciated in journalism and law school.
I respect a teacher who doesn't go soft on students and she was one of them. Expect to learn in her classes. Teachers like her are a dying breed.
very very very nice...just do the work. and there's a lot of it.
wow.so many rules and stuff to follow. but just do what she wants you to do and leave it at that. she pounds grammar in your head like nobodies business
Hard class if you don't do the work... ez class if you do.
Her class is pretty demanding and shes a bit too serious. she needs to cool off, but i learned a lot from her.
She has a whole list of offenders that we shouldn't use, but she uses them all herself. She also can't spell a lot of words correctly and she is very unclear.
Awesome teachers bt she needs to lighten up a little bit. I loved her class except when she gave us tons of homework. Greek mythology rocks :o)
She is so cool. She helped me build my h0t-air balloon, then we went on an awesome adventure.
Mrs. Hogaboom...seriously...u HAVE to lighten up a LITTLE hun
Good but hard teacher.... I think she is the only teacher to not get me kicked out of class!
She's a very unique teacher who has a lot of helpful information to share with her class. She helps her students learn to write essays the best they can.
