if you get her switch out ASAP. She could give a hoot about your grades, she just wants you to do well on the IB exam so she looks good as a teacher. She likes to pick random grades instead of actually reading over your work. Assignments are given with poor directions and if you try to complain she will shoot you down so fast. Boggles me how she has yet to be fired. She'll make you cry at least twice a week. God help this absurdly bitter woman.
I had her for HL and at first her class was extremely difficult because unlike every other social studies class she makes you actually think. She wants you to interpret history your own way based on the knowledge and understanding you have of what was going on during that time period. She doesn't like "textbook answers" or any basic kind of information, she wants you to have an in-depth understanding of history. She gets a bad rep of being mean but she's honestly the nicest teacher you can have.
She knows the curriculum very well, but it doesn't help if she doesn't share her knowledge. When we are unable to particip-ate in her class because we don't know the topic, instead of sharing her knowledge, she refuses to teach, and instead yells at us, skips the topic, and proceeds onto the next topic. She hands out agendas, but does not follow it, leaving us confused. It doesn't help that she assigns a lot of work either. I honestly do not know anything for the IB HOTA test.
As a rule, she gets bad ratings from her 10th grade global students who are (at this point) less intelligent and mature than her seniors that give her outstanding ratings. She's the best teacher at CHS; the school is extremely lucky to have her, and you're even luckier to have her as your teacher. She's tough, brilliant, and the best teacher I've ever had. MAKE THE MOST OUT OF HER CLASS!!
She is a really great teacher. You will really have a greater understanding of history after her lessons. She makes all of the lessons very captivating and she will make sure that you are beyond prepared for the IB test.
Horrible, atrocious, just a terrible teacher. Never actually teaches. Often a hypocrate. I'm glad I'll never see her again.
D'Orazi scared the living daylights out of me for the first half of the year. She yelled, had monstrous packets and assignments, and was demanding on tests and papers. After the initial shock, I started to "get" her in the way others got her. She truly cares about her students, even if she has a funny way of showing it, and I really respect her. She may not be very clear at times, but if you show any sort of interest, she is willing to help you. Take advantage of what she has to offer.
seriously, she is a HORRIFIC teacher. my midterm is tomorrow and i don't know ANYTHING i'm going to fail. she doesn't teach at all and she's always yelling at people in the class. i need to go to other teachers extra helps because she doesn't know what she's doing at all.
If my class doesn't know something in stead of telling us she just skips it, so we don't learn. I acually like the subject and heard she was a bad teacher, i didn't want to make a decision until i saw things first hand, but she's making it hard.
She doesnt clarify anything and you have to do a current events every friday Wirst global 2 teacher ever
I learned that she really cares about her students. WHy not try and talk to her and get to know her for youself and not what others have to say. She was awesome! She doesnt have to be like the rest and be a phony.
Hard grader.boring, but she knows her stuff an she does play favorites.
Once you get to know her and develope a relationship with her you will come to find that she is always willing to go out of her way for you. *Great* lessons, but a hard grader!
She came up with the stupid year-long project...definitely not a cool teacher
This parent was very upset to hear how this woman plays favorites and has a different set of rules for each child. She doesn't return phone calls and I am sorry my child had her.
dorazi is a tough teacher but she is the best ive ever had she teaches very well people complain they fail her class its because they dont pay attention!
Mrs. D'Orazi is the best S.S. teacher at Commack. If any of you had a clue you'd realize that. Stop complaining already
all she does is give out packets. anyone who said that she is the best teacher most be 'one of her chosen'. i might as well not go to class, its useless.
wake up she cares about you but you are too stupid to know that
One of the best teachers I ever had. She listens to you and wants you to think on your own.
Great teacher; she wants to prepare you for the future. SHe expects you to do the work and come to class prepared.
She made life horrible. Global history is an easy topic but she was able to pollute it with corruption, her stale lies and her evil attitude.
This woman knows *everything*. She is tough and strict, but she's also a really, really spectacular teacher.
very cold. and hasnt anyone ever noticed how BORING! her classes are?? she has the most monotonous voice in the world. did i mention completely boring?
got 60s-70s in her class, got a 90 on the regents. Are her grades really the most accurate reflection of the subject?
She gives a lot of hw for US but its 11th grade. If you do care about the class and do what you have to do she won't give you a problem.
She's a great teacher, the only reason people don't like her is because most of them are too stupid to write there own names without mommy and daddies help.!
i personally like hr. i think she is a nice person.she wants to write me a college rec, and i think she preps really well for the regents
Such a hard teacher but sometimes its allrite and still i think i'll be prepared for regents
Not so tough in review classes, and i hope you don't read a question and instead of saying citizen you don't say cinnamon like i did!
Ms. D'Orazi may seem tough but that's only because she wants everyone to be really prepared. If you work hard in her class, she generally is nice and helpful.
