worst teacher i’ve ever had. my whole life i’ve been a high A student in english but Davis gave me “unsatisfactory” on most of my essays. not one person has ever told me that learned anything in that class. you just write essays every day and turn some of them in. only 4 things were only in the grade book at the end of each semester, all being essays. he screwed my GPA and no one deserves to suffer in his class. he also plays complete favorites which is my least favorite thing ever.

Honors 10 student. Good teacher, though see him after class for help. Don't be scared by how he looks either, or by his somewhat harsh humor. He tolerates people writing about a completely different view than his own and will not mark you down based on politics, rather the writing itself.Students that love opinion writing should really try to get this class. Don't be afraid to share your opinion, he will respect it.Makes a little fun of conservatives though, but very low when it comes to teachers

Just show up, do what he says, and you will do fine. Nice man who is very committed to his students. You will really grow as a writer, and learn that if you focus on learning rather than points,

His class, for the most part, is easy and one has not to worry about any grades. There is little homework and not a lot of emphasis on reading comprehension. There are some writing assignments but if one ever has trouble with them he can help you after or sometimes during class. Mr. Davis is a uniquely wonderful teacher!

Mr. Davis is a nice and simple teacher who actually cares about his students rather than grades. He focuses on writing essays and short responses which usually align with the topics taught in AP European History. His expectations are very reasonable and the class should be a breeze if you are a decent writer and can focus every now and then to read and annotate text. You can visit him outside of classes for him to help you with your writing assignments before they are due online.

If he likes you, you're fine. I always did very well in class, and we got along very well until I was absent one day and turned in an assignment the next day and he misplaced it. Emailed him to find out if he just didn't put it in the grade book and if i needed to redo it. He never replied to me, so i had an F in his class. I asked him during class and he got angry. He made me feel unwelcome and guilty that i asked about my grade. I ended with an A+

Mr. Davis is a teacher who honestly cares about the success of his students. The first week into his class you will hate him, but come the end of school, he'll be your favorite teacher. His dry sense of humor grows on you, but its a lot more subtle than the "in-your-face" humor of Valentine, and will initially pale in comparison. Just wait. His class is completely worth taking.

Mr. Davis is the most amazing teacher I have ever had the pleasure of having. He is a brilliant man and has taught me so much. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have a solid A in AP Lang. I had him for CP English 10, then Honors English 11 and now I am his TI. You learn so much about English and life in his class. He is not the "cookie cutter" Granite Bay teacher. He embraces following one's passion, over just going to an ivy league school. He wants his students to really learn; not just pass.

Mr. Davis (when it comes to the Honors English/AP Euro block schedule) is a very tough teacher. I wouldn't mind the difficulty of the course if he offered insight to his students and would help them when asked. He, from my experience, is very rude to students saying things harsh and flat out like "your idea is terrible" etc. I personally do not enjoy his class - but from what I have heard about his regular CP English 10 class is that he is much more laid back.
