Fantastic teacher. Best one (most difficult) in high school by far. Got a 5 in AP euro thanks to him. Still use his "write you introduction last" strategy all through undergrad and law school.
I had the pleasure of having him as my History teacher back in 1987-1988. Mr. Hartley had a big impression on my life. He was never easy on me and pushed me to the limit. I am a successful Chiropracto
He's pretty weird, very strange guy, but I learned a lot from him...too bad he retired!
Hartley is the definition of AP! He is qualified and a great man; with his retirement, Beyer is losing one of the greatest teachers ever. He really teaches!
He loves to make us outline and ask us questions that aren't in the book, but he is the perfect AP teacher. Most people I know got a 4 or 5 because of him.
Very helpful to me since I am a new student from back East. Here it is wonderful. I like him even though teachers are underpaid. A-OK man! Keep up the good work
He taught us how to be real AP students. He was strict, but we knew our stuff: the '01-'02 class pass rate was above 90%
The only AP teacher that gives enough of a challenge to really be AP.
One great teacher. His rigid rules and high standards taught me organization and how to study and take notes. Best teacher in the school!
Constantly paces in front of the projector, making it rather hard to jot down your daily reams of notes. Quite condescending, and gives too much work even 4 AP.
Excellent teacher! Taught me much about taking notes, and how to study!
