Incredibly interesting, however way too difficult... Quizzes everyday and an oral test. No textbook so all you have is your own notes. I would reccomend if this was an honors class, however it is an on-level class that is unfair compared to the other 9th grade theology classes.

Mr. Buckley is by far the best teacher I have had so far. His lectures are engaging and interesting. To be successful in his class it is crucial that you actually want to be successful. Apply yourself and actually give an effort and you will learn so much more from Mr. Buckley. This class has taught me critical thinking skills that will follow me for the rest of my life. He teaches not only Theology, but also how to analyze. I am appreciative for all the knowledge gained from Mr. Buckley.

I loved Mr. Buckley's class! He has a ton of experience, and does his job well. Also, the oral test is not that bad, just be prepared!

Actually St. Agnes has not discontinued the oral exam, though they should due to the disproportional amount of pressure that it puts on students and Buckley is not even prepared to properly administer a simple test, much less an oral exam. We are told that because theology is not even VIEWED by most colleges, we would not have to take midterms or finals in this class but Buckley labels a massive test at the end of quarter two, MIDTERM, he takes himself to seriously its hilarious.

He is a teacher who at some moments i think just talks for the sake of hearing his own voice never listens to students and is never clear on what to study.

I expect high things out of a theology department, but it is saddening to see that teachers like Mr. Buckley can get away with teaching, he never listens to students and comes off as extremely conceited, he is also very annoying i do not recommend Mr. Buckley to anyone

He is not clear at all on what to study, he only has two exams per semester and his grades for participation are not veritable and can make your average drop depending on what he thinks, though compared to other students your average is exponentially lower, even if you study or ask the same amount of questions as them, also on his exams you can sometimes have only 6 seconds per 150 questions on an exam, lacking the judgement of an informed test procter. My average went from an A to a C!!

Buckley has a hard class (with the daily quizzes and all the notes) but it's normally an interesting class! Relates with the students a lot, tells great stories, and is an all around funny guy!

Mr. Buckley was one of my favorite teachers freshman year! It's funny because he connected with you so well but wasn't helpful when you needed extra explanation, as if there was a barrier between us and a really interesting person. There were a lot of girls who complained and had horrible grades but it was only because they refused to study. If you do study and devote a lot of time to the class, you can get a high A and an 100 on the oral test!!

Best Theology Teacher i ever had (in 9 years- I'm just a freshman) He makes you think -he is whee he belongs- In a catholic college prep school His class is not at all boring he keeps you focused Keeps you knowledgeable- caught up on what we are learning and you don't even have to try that hard- there IS a quiz almost every day that's not a weird schedule or anything and those keep people on top of their stuff and he drills things in your brain without much effort Funny

Mr Buckley is one reason why I became a teacher. He makes you think independently and stretches your mind to its limits, bursting bubbles of theology while filling your mind with rational thinking using the Socratic method.

The man is a good teacher and he is quite easy if you pay attention. He sucks at helping students. If you're absent one day, you can forget getting help from this man. You have to get it from friends so make friends in his class! Don't let his stupid Oral Test scare you. You know the material and he guides you through the answers... Just be confident. The man is awful in my opinion though and I wouldn't take his class again.
