Kind, caring teacher. Downright hilarious! She is silly and loves to laugh and joke, which some falsely attribute to "annoying". Her class, Spanish III acts as a "weeder" for the Spanish track, that's why she has poor reviews (people are salty about their b-, c, or d grade) - no test retakes. If you are bad at Spanish this class WILL take you out. Our German teacher is horrible, so if you hate Spanish, please don't continue w/ foreign lang. unless you absolutely need for college requirements.
Worst teacher I've ever had, i am a kinesthetic learner so this is also a huge problem for me being in her class. We have sumitive non retakable exams every week worth around 145 points. Also when i have "forgotten" to turn something in meaning she forgot where she put it she marks it missing and does not tell me until i found out a week later my grade has gone down from a to a b-. Plus i joined spanish to have fun and learn about a culture i am from, not to get information shoved into my head.
Very kind and understanding of a students personal life. Available outside of class and willing to help students on an individual bases. Always smiling and joking, defiantly a positive classroom environment. Kind of a hard grader, especially when it comes to spelling, but does it with good intentions. Overall, if you actually want to learn and take school seriously, she is an amazing teacher.
Ms Werner is knowledgable in the Spanish language but defiantly not in the culture aspect. She's also a really hard grader and uses a lot of "textbook" spanish. I enjoy her as a person over all but I don't think Spanish 3 fits her. I think she needs to teach a AP Spanish class. She also needs to do different activities besides the packets. By the way, her accent is PERFECT! Way better than a lot of other Spanish teachers that's for sure.
I disliked her, she was never that nice to our class. She favored the girls. I hate her grading system, mainly that drawing stuff on tests. Plus- to all you who had her- BING! don't you hate that!?
If you actually want to learn Spanish, she's your teacher.
Particpation is graded in college too, so get used to it. To learn the language you have to be involved, its simple. Werner was a hard teacher but I learned soo much from her and she really knew her material. Sure she was annoying at times, but she was always willing to help and overall, she was a great teacher.
She's awesome. She's difficult, but you actually learn Spanish. She's funny too.
Ms. Werner is really goofy and she is a tough grader but I did have quite a bit of fun in her class. I loved the meditations!!!!!
