Nice, but not the greatest teacher. Spends more time checking homework, etc., than actually teaching his class. He's off his rocker, but, he is nice.
i mean he's a pretty nice guy.if u take his clas make sure he likes you and then you can do what i did and watch him make a fool of himself and yell at other students. he's a funny guy.
The character limit for this rating is only 512 - but there is not a sufficient amount of space to explain just how horrible Barry David is. He is demeaning. He is an absolute imbecile. He doesn't know the language he "teaches." His quizzes and tests come from nowhere and pertain to nothing that we've covered in class. He puts down students in class. He simply cannot communicate. Horrible accent. I can't stress how bad of a teacher Barry David is. He's completely oblivious. If you get him switch immediately
horrible. i dont know how ive survived his class thus far.
He is talkative and some of the assignments are difficult, but I have never heard anyone in my class complain. He has some bad classes and the people that I have heard complain about him give any teacher a reason to be less than perfect towards them. He's not always right in his approach, but he is quick to catch his mistakes and goes over the material thoroughly. If people focused more on how good a job he does in class rather than the grades they earn, I don't think there would be so many complaints
This man, while he is obviously trying, is frankly not a good Spanish teacher. He is terrible at keeping his class under control, is extremely awkward (Maria! MARIA LINARES! Anyone?) and does not make me look forward to class. The best part are the kids. He loves the sound of his voice (no idea why, it's ridiculously nasal and annoying). Sends random students out to "make people think he's not messing around", but seriously, if you get him, switch, if you actually want to learn Spanish.
the complete opposite of what a good teacher should be. belittles students, is awkward and strange and class, and beyond that the man is just a god-awful teacher. whoever hired him should be fired along wiht him.
unreasonable quizes-poorly written questions, your spanish gets worse, can't take constructive criticism, suppresses discussion, only wants to hear his own voice but can't teach
The 4AP curriculum has a lot of potential, but he's demeaning to his students. It's frustrating to feel that your own teacher won't respect your opinions when you speak in class
really unresonable and just doesnt know how to teach spanish. never lets us discuss things, and really likes the sound of his own voice. i didnt learn a thing last year
He doesn't have the best Spanish accent and the classes aren't too exciting, but he is very considerate and understands students' situations well.
most obnoxious teacher i've ever had, has the worst spanish accent i've ever heard, doesn't awknowlege anything anyone else says in class except his own voice, is extremley frustrating but don't complain or he gets soo defensive. just rely on what u learned in spanish 2 and 3, and you'll make it through the class just fine (don't learn anything new)
i didnt learn a single thing in this class. He should not teach AP. we just read books, answered a million questions and did a lot of unprecidented work. He's also quite unreasonable. Sometimes he's nice outside of class, i guess.
Mr. David was alright- but he set deadlines for himself and not the students, and would NEVER negotiate anything..everything had to go his way!
Sr. David is an extremely nice man. Like any class, you just have to be willing to listen and work to learn. people are so harsh!
Mr. David may not be the most exciting teacher but you learn a lot in his class if you're willing to work. I thought his class was fun.
Sr. David might know spanish...but he isnt able to teach it. He doesn't take his students into consideration, and he makes the subject pretty boring
meh, i like him, but i hated his class. he isnt very accommodating, but what can you do
