Although an anthropologist, very knowledgeable in history. She is a very honest person, teaching and grading as the students deserve.
Mrs. Malchiodi's a very good teacher, in my personal opinion, and she truly cares about her students - When I lost my voice, she kept checking in on me to make sure I was doing well, and she's always willing to help whomever needs her. Her tests are based on class discussion and notes she puts on the board, but some of the questions can be rather obscure. PARTICIPATION COUNTS. She gives a whole grade for it so if you're shy, you really need to put your hand up if you want to get a good grade
Amazing. Funny. Favorite teacher.
OK teacher. As long as you pay attention and participate you'll be fine.
She's a very enthusiastic teacher but she's probably too enthusiastic at times. She can probably talk all day about anthropology but it gets very boring very fast. Her exams are difficult for no reason and everything she speaks about in class is "fair game." She also does no review before a test. The class for no reason is probably more difficult than any AP class I ever took.
An okay teacher. Had her last year, definitely better than a lot of other teachers I've had.
I had her last year for Global in my freshman year and she's a bit strict and her homework can really overwhelm you sometimes but as long as you study and pay attention in her class, you'll be fine. Participation really counts with her.
I had fun in her class. She is funny. My favorite teacher. She is pretty chill
ugh, i hated her class, i always fell asleep in her class. hard tests.
Of all the teachers I had in 9th grade, she was definitely one of the better ones. Never had a problem in her class, even though she can sometimes be a bit overbearing, but overall, no complaints
She is an amazing teacher that knows her stuff and isn't afraid to admit when she doesn't know the answer to a bogus question off the top of your head. Do what she tell you to do and you will have a great year. absolutely love her. What i can say is participate.
Mrs. Malchiodi is an outstanding teacher and definitely one of the best in Tech. She's inspiring, fair, and respectable. Do the work and consider yourself lucky.
She's amazing and really funny but ohmygod if you don't study for her test's you better pray you pass it. Participating in class get's you on her good side so participate as much as possible :)
I love her. My cousin had her a few years back, and she was inspired by Malchiodi, going into the SSR major. I had her 3 years ago and I still look back and don't regret that class. I am also inspired by her; I love history. Seems deadly, but has that soft side of her that makes her such an amazing teacher.
I'm 28 years old, an a college student. It has been over 10years sins I was instructed by Ms. Malchiodi, and she is by far one of the best teachers any student could have.
Talks alot, makes us right down a lot of note. She's strict but also easy going- like on tests she keeps an eye and she is ehh. Buut shes still ok and nice as well as has a sense of humor but to sum it up- down to earth
She was awesome!!!!!! Def helped out and made learnign fun. I loved the skulls.
I really like her. Global is my favorite class. I look forward to it all day!!!
She is the worst teacher i have ever had ever since the first day of school, she already have picked her group of 5 favorite students and the rest are screwed
shes awesome, very funny! but sometimes she gets too serious!
yupp.. the only teacher i actually like... she is so funny.. there is not one time i don't laugh in her class. she's the one who knows how to teach. also she explores the places she learned. and study.. unlike other teachers who dun noe what they are teaching.. but u need to work hard to get a good grade..
Very friendly, kind and understanding. I miss having her as a teacher. :'(
BEST TEACHER I'VE HAD SO FAR. She's hilarious, and extremely smart. You have to work for your grade, though.
really nice teacher. when it isnt class time she acts like a friend to you. do her work and you can pass easily.
great teacher, rlly knows her stuff, strange stories, good worksheets only class my binder stayed neat for. you earn your grade and if you try its rlly easy to
YOOO DIS IS DA BEST TEACHER IN DA FUKIN WORLD!!!!!!!!!mad fun in da morningg. i have her right nowwwww. she rokin!
Beth Malchiodi is one of the best teachers I've had in my life. I had her for SSR (good old days) and Anthropology; very knowledgeable, funny, interesting, tough. I will never forget her.
Mrs.Malchiodi is one of the best teachers i have ever had in my entire life....She rocks...i agree to keep up in her class u must work hard bu its very possible and many kids including myself got 99's
who cares if she talks too much! just pay attention and whatever she says will not be forgotten which is a good thing! but shes not so easy :P and you have to actually EARN your grade.
She talks alot. However, her classes are fun, she helps you out and tries to work WITH you, homework is easy, and very fair teacher. Tests are okay if you study, but term projects are hard.
She's tough but fair and you work for your grade instead of kissing up , that's what I like best about her. She's an anthropologist and knows many interesting thinngs. She's a good teacher over all.
i neva cut her class cuz i knew dat she was serious, but i alwas learned alot n we spend alot of time jus talkin she really gets on ur case if she sees u talkin 2 a boy =)
She gives fantastic notes and you really learn a lot in this class, but I must say, I disapprove of the tough term papers and essay exams =/. Did I mention she talks too much? lol
great teacher. she gives really good notes and you can actaully follow what she's saying. its not just a bunch of gibberish dates and stuff.
she's a great teacher. she is tough, but you will learn a lot from her if you actually pay attention. she also gives great notes.
fantastic teacher. knows a lot and knows how to teach what she knows.
she can be a little unfair about her grading system, and she can be tough, but she's down to earth and to the point. there was no messing around in her class.
Extremely tough but knows what she's talking about. I went through hell but really learned. I spent a lot of money copying articles because I didn't want to spend days at the library. She made a funny comment to me because I never talked in her class and I just had to laugh. Don't listen to what she said about failing her class: My sister failed her Research class but still got a Major diploma.
amazing teacher. maybe a bit too many CVS stories though... Nonetheless, she is (well duh) very intelligent and interesting (flicking of the ears in anthro...lolz)
I had learned more about research methods and stats in her class than I did throughout college. It's only now, in grad school that I'm feeling as challanged as I was once in her class. Here's the bottom line, yes, she was hard, yes, she gave a lot of work, but, if you were willing to put in the effort, you learned an incredible amount from her. Aside from being a great teacher, she was also a great person, very funny and always willing to help. Miss you lots. Larisa
Ms. Malchiodi is a fantastic teacher. I had her for both American History and Social Science research. I am almost through with my junior year in college and have not been challenged as much as I was in her class. Eternally grateful. Rita
Yeah, she actually cares and knows what she's doing.
Beware! If they told us everything that was involved in the research class at the major meetings I would have given more thought to it.
She actually knows what she's doing... and that's pretty rare in the NY educational system. She's a great, intelligent teacher who takes her job seriously.
I had her for 4 classes when I was is HS and loved her. Now that I've had the experience of going through college, I appreciate her even more. Thanks!
Fake personality, rambles on too much. But she knows her field, and that's the relevant part and she's a fair grader tho it's obvious that she has favorites
shes a great person and a great teacher. id love her as a friend but id be scared as a student
true i was in the library spring break and regents week but props for grading all those litreviews in ONE night....
she is such a cool person and is so giving. she sacrifices so much of her free time to help us. a LOT of work, but she makes it fun! except for the litreviews
this teacher NEEDS to answer emails on weekends or else thats my behind...otherwise fun teacher/class
This woman is so kewl. She is very knowledgable, but gives A LOT of work. Really nice and helpful though!
gives a lot of work, but is really fun and dedicated
Nasty attitude, doesnt care about a students feelings at all. She's too much about the work and is usually not very willing to help when theres a problem.
she's expects a lot from her students, but when it comes right down to it, she is an amazing teacher. she makes the class fun and you learn sooo much.
her teaching technique is very irritating, talks about her life and non-related topics. Seems very self-centered and don't respect the overall student pop.
i had her for ame. hist. and she brought history to life. i wish all my teachers were this knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their field.
You're a very great teacher. You taught me very much and your very dedicated to your work and students.
This woman should not be teacher, she is fake, stubborn and an overall bad person
Shes fun to talk to. she made me start liking ice cream alot
she lets us study what we find interesting, but she is sometimes stubborn
nice person, fair grader, has tendancies to talk to much
Dedicated and understanding. You won't find a better teacher period.
she's very fair, u get a grade based on ur work, not if she likes u or not
most hard working teacher i ve ever meet. she just amaze me.
