ms bells class is more learning how to deal with bad teachers than learning english. do not trust her. she acts cool for the add/drop period and then will unleash her fury on unsuspecting students. also she will grade you based on how much she likes you. you won't learn english
Ms. Bell gets a lot of hate because she's pretty cynical, but she is actually pretty passionate about what she teaches, and she's a really nice lady if you show initiative in her class. I think she's just fed up with the work ethic of this generation and it makes her cynical. Listen to her talk and give her a chance; you don't have to like her though. Much easier class than Williams though; she gives far less work.
Ms. Bell cares about her subject material and cares about being a good teacher, but she's very negative and singles out people, which is intimidating when you want to ask questions. Sometimes her humor is funny, and sometimes it's off-putting. She gives great writing advice, though.
I had Ms. Bell for AP English junior year. I did no enjoy her class at all, not only because she's a generally cynical and unpleasant woman, but also because she doesn't give you the tools to succeed. Switch to advanced.
Ms. Bell is one of my all-time favorite teachers (and that includes professors I've had so far in college). Her humor is great, even though she's really cynical I found myself enjoying every moment in her class. She keeps you on your toes, which is good because you learn a lot more that way. She clearly has a lot of experience in writing which strengthens her teaching skills. I really miss her class and smile every time I think of her. Thank you, Ms. Bell, for being great! :)
You have to wonder if Ms. Bell needs therapy or medication because she brings her mood to the class. She's smart and knows her stuff and it's possible to learn from her, but she makes it so difficult. Other times her class is really good. So many kids just fear her, and that's just not the way learning should be. You need a daily weather report on her before you go to her class.
She definitely has a sense of humor... I don't know how else to describe it. Whatever you do, don't get on the recieving end of that humor.
The problem w/ her is she automatically assumes you’re immature and don’t care. So she yells at you, and you become less inclined to succeed- why bother? It’s a catch-22 thing. Sometimes, she does activities to make sitting through her class worth it.
ughh ms. bell's class sucks. esp. journalism classes she thinks shes above every one else but her classes are easy if u r good in english. dont take photoj if u wanna learn about photography cuz she doesnt know ANYTHING about it
Ms. Bell is not an easy teacher, but is definitely worthwhile. You either appreciate her or you hate her. She doesn't seem to enjoy teaching, but she definitely has a lot of expirience and knows what she's talking about. She represents real world people.
She changed her last name to Belle. I think she is really mean and vicious.
A lot of students dislike her becuase she expects a lot , and if you don't give that, she gets mad. she is a great teacher, she makes you push yourself.
Ms. Kandle is da Bomb, I learned more from Ms. Kandle than I would have from any other of the Journalism teachers at Manual.
yes she can be really mean esp. when yearbooks come out at the end of the year but she's really a good teacher. she knows what she's talking about. i love her.
She is one of the best and most intelligent teachers I have ever come across. She may be a harsh teacher, but she actually TEACHES for goodness sakes.
she's got a bad rep, but she really is a good teacher. and her sense of humor is great, if you understand it.
She's the smartest teacher at the school hands down. The woman honestly knows what she's doing in any situation. Always trust her, she's usually right!
She's one the hardest teaches i've had but i appreciate it because she's the only English Teacher who taught me anything
I love her, she is my favorite teacher this year without question. Her journalistic ability is unparalleled.
