My brother loves him as a sub for his wife, but he was the def of TOUGH when I had him. Doing good things for getting the downtown library finished, though.
He's back again, this time subing for his wife! It's really annoying, he just stands there and mubles about nothing to do with the history we're studying. He is funny though, and can draw perfect circles, lol
Very wishy-washy grader, and she is so biased! Oh, and totally pro-Kerry! She's nice, but too personal and tells you what to do. Lots of homework, and she doesn't teach much. You read the book, take notes, take quizzes, chat for a few minutes, take a test, get it back, and realize how she changes her grading style. She's nice though, but I guess it's a tough subject
ok teacher. seems like she teaches to herself. moves too fast and gives too much hw i guess thats why is ACCerlated...
if you didn't like Brickley, or are in band, you'll get Swedenborg. I've heard she's not as good as Brickley, but at least I don't have an F anymore.
Mrs Swedenborg is the ultimate ape man! She takes points off of kids she doesn't like. I got an A on every test and I still had a B in the class every quarter.
Fun class and teacher except for her frequent use of the word "negro."
mr swedenborg was the coolest. he had a hilarious sense of humor, though his teaching was mediocre. he knew so much i think he just couldn't explain it.
Sounds a lot like the teacher from Faris Bueller's Day Off but we could never get him to say Bueler. He grades tough but i learned a lot.Congrats on 37 years!!
he has sarcasm and willing to make fun of students. I hate teachers that try to avoid any controversy. It's also easy to get him going on a tangent
Now that I have suffered a year of Brickley, Mrs. Swedenborg seems pretty cool to me.
After AccUS you'll be practically begging to be in her class again.
Takes awhile but you'll come to appreciate his sense of humor and teachings style.
Nice teacher. Much better than someone else you could get, so I can't complain much. Moves quickly, but I can't imagine an AP class not moving quickly.
Hard teacher, and the class moves pretty fast with loads of homework, but that is to be expected of APUS history. Otherwise, really fun and nice teacher!
He grows on you after awhile; a funny old man. I didn't like him for the first semester, but now I view him as really cool. Too bad it's his last year.
I thought he was a great teacher. It's ashame this was his last year of teaching. He's retiring. Very funny.
Very very bias, regardless of what other people say, able to hold grudges for say 3 years (freshman year to junior year)
Overall a very cool teacher who is fair in her grading (as opposed to the alternative ;) ) If you do your work you shouldn't have a problem in her class.
She's a very difficult teacher, but that comes with AP US history. Overall, I had a pretty good time in her class, even though there were many projects.
