Smart man but very confusing. All he does is talk about his life outside of the classroom, talk about how bad palm oil is (check the anti palm oil part of the wall), and lecture (occasionally). Doesn't help at all unless you're a brilliant student that doesn't actually need help that is also one of his favorites. If you're a brilliant freshmen in honors bio you'll do fine. If not, sucks to be you.
I don't even know where to begin. I was in so many tears when i left his class for all the wrong reasons. He's tests are beyond hard and you need to study immensely to get a good grade on them. I ended up with a C in regular biology because of him. Amazing person, but it an educator. I wanted to give up because of this. Beyond terrible, if you have him, i'm sorry.
You kind of have to self teach some units but he is a really great teacher who puts a LOT of effort into his lectures and they provide all the information that you need to know for the tests. STUDY FOR THE TESTS because if you don't, you're screwed. If at the beginning of the year you think ur going to fail, don't drop out, just keep working hard and let him know that you need help because he will sit down and explain stuff you got wrong on the test to you. He is a really good entertaining tchr!
He just teaches with slideshows
Even though the course is quite hard, he tries to interest students by telling cool jokes. He is really good in understanding the students!! Even tho he's kinda strict.. Good teacher.
he tells way too many stories that do not relate to the topic whatsoever and his tests are extremely difficult and when you ask for help during tutorial he doesn't explain it well. also his lectures are soooo boring!
Mr. Dworzak is an ok teacher, he tells a lot of cool stories in class that are usually related to the topic of the lesson. Though, he is pretty unforgiving on HW and paper grading. His tests aren't too bad, you just have to take really good notes and study a lot at home if you want the A. I personally did pretty well in his class and kept a very good average. Though if you slack off you will have a bad grade, but he offers some really good extra credit. Makes some mistakes in grading though.
Does not explain anything and even if you ask him privately in tutorial, his explanations are terrible. His tests are so hard and he expects everyone to know all the material. He is a cool guy though and he tells some cool stories. He goes off topic a lot in class. He knows a lot but just fails to explain it well to the class.
has good stories and knows his stuff but doesn't actually teach the test material
good teacher, just study and take notes and you should be fine
Humorous person, but sort of sucks at teaching. Assumes we know everything. His collections are cool though, but I don't recommend him if you want a good grade
Throughout my education i havent had a teacher like this one. His biology tests were an absolute joke, the class average was around 65% each time. The questions were extremley unclear and barely related to his lectures. The way the class was run was a mess and days not planned out well. He shows us useless videos of cats and random things that made no sense. There were only about 2 As in his class by the end of the year. He didnt care and was happy with the Cs.
Really cool person but not as good at teaching. A lot of people seemed to do well in his class besides me though, so it could just be me. He goes off on cool tangents a lot and is funny, but I had a lot of trouble in my honors bio class because he didn't teach much during class.
Mr. Dworzak's Honors Bio class was pretty easy if you listened to his lectures and studied a bit at home. If anything is unclear, he explains it better if you ask him at tutorial. The tests weren't too bad, and I'd say the Inner Fish Quizzes were a little harder. I liked listening to some of his stories, and it was helpful that he showed us pretty interesting videos throughout the year. Overall, I think you'll enjoy this class and end up liking Biology a little more at the end of the year.
A little hard to understand. After tests ask him to give answers and he will. P.S. His finals are copy and paste from older tests. Lectures are long but help a lot. Just ask for help during tutorial if you need it and he will help. Overall, great teacher with great stories. Loved his H. Bio class.
Look, this guy has been teaching since the beginning of time, and has lost all passion. This guy spends 3 days giving "lectures". These so-called lectures are really just him reading off exactly what's on the screen. Listen buddy, we're not blind, and we can read just as well as you. After the class has finished 3 days of story time (lectures), we do useless labs and worksheets that none of us understand. I'm not struggling in his class because the material is easy, but he is ineffective
I'm very sorry but he is a unreasonable teacher that should retire he is very nice but is very difficult to understand and doesn't help use understand the lesson. The test has a whole bunch of questions that no one understands. He goes over the lesson saying that you don't need to know it but in reality you really do
Doesn't explain anything to his students. our class average for the semester was a c. And for many of our tests, majority of kids get a grade of a c and below. that should be a sign not only to the teacher, also the administrators.
Literally the worst teacher I have ever had. He really, truly, simply is a bad teacher. He knows the material, but has a ridiculously ineffective way of teaching it. He always goes off topic, his notes don't make any sense, he's bad at answering questions, and you can tell he has absolutely zero passion left. Please, Woodbridge, do students a favor and let him go. It's not impossible to do well in his class (I have despite his lack of teaching) but it is hard and it requires a lot of extra work.
He's a really nice guy and is very smart. However he is very difficult to understand sometimes but he does try very hard to help which makes up for these few things.
Well, ya the test are hard but he is really nice and idk why but I love his story's
DWORZAK IS LOVE DWORZAK IS LIFE.
I had him freshman year for bio and he was good, He'll help you one on one if you have trouble understanding Biology. Class was hard at times but with studying you'll get an A. He'll care about your grade and lectures were interesting.
Mr. Dworzak is the most pro and swagalicious teacher i ever had. Thank you for making my biology experience entertaining. I learned so much!!
The people below who gave this teacher poor ratings weren't willing to put in the time and effort needed to succeed in his class. I had him for both honors and AP biology and I had an extraordinary time in both. While I struggled in the beginning, I realized that his class wasn't the kind of class where you can slack off and expect to receive a good grade. It is necessary to study and review the materials he gives you, materials which are definitely more than enough to get A's on his test.
He is not good at teaching infront of the wholl class... I literally have to go to him and ask him for help everytime which kind of help... His study guide is not even helpful... You want to ACE this class? MEMORIZE THE WHOLE CHAPTER FOR THE TEST... it helps alot... He doesn't cover all the things in the chapter He puts materials that we didn't go over in the textbook...
A lot of people say he's bad. He could teach a little more but he's allright. At least he doesn't yell or scream or yell at you for asking a question. He's very approachable. His tests are kinda hard though. Overall he's not too bad.
His Classes are outrageously funny! I could do with a little less personal religion ranting, as I don't think he should bring religion into science, especially if he mocks the people who believe in th
I love this guy. The actual curriculum was hard, but the class was awesome. He's really funny and outgoing. Just do the homework, extra credit and use the presentations, and you'll do fine.
For regular Biology he's not that bad. Just do the homework and okay on the tests..you should have no problem with getting an A in his class.
He feels the need to lecture about everything. Better teacher if he spent more class time teaching us complex things (how neurons work), rather than teaching things that require pure memorization.
One of the worst teachers at Woodbridge. He uses all of Antrim's materials and barely understands the topic he's teaching. His tests rarely reflect what is being taught (or not taught) in class.
He's such a joke. Although he's really funny, he should not be allowed to teach because he clearly does NOT know how to! That's why no one ever does well on his tests and so many people fail -_-
he's really funny but nobody takes his class seriously and i kinda feel sorry for him. but honestly i've never had a worse grade in science. i have a better grade in APUSH and Brit Lit then this!
Very practical, uses humor to help some people understand topics in class.
This was the hardest class I have ever taken he dosent explain things at all. I took his class but went to tutorial of another science teacher and he taught me everything i learned.
Very funny teacher. His tests are pretty difficult, but if you prepare for them you will pass. He tries hard to prepare you and teaches very well.
this class is so hard I turned in all my hw and still dont have the best of grade. he dosent know how to teach. He always has 10 million stories to tell a day. Most of the time he dosent anwser your ?
Homework is the key to pass his class and turning in easy points from ECs before a test. even if you were to fail a test it doesn't affect your grade very much, but Don't miss the homework!!!
Easy teacher, you have to try to fail at his class. About 3/4 of the stuff is easy (you just need to be able to read and answer q's) and he basically forces you to do a ton of extra credit anyways.
great funny teacher who totally cares about his environment(: although his teaching methods may be slightly questionable, his lessons are funny and an excellent opportunity to catch up on homework(:
He's VERY funny in class.. and nice, he's a hard teacher... but if you pay attention to his lectures and always turn in your homework, you'll get an A easy!
He is a hard teacher, you have to pay attention to his letchures other wise yours going to fail his tests (his tests make you think) He has funny be weird storys, sometimes he isnt the best teacher
He is a hard teacher but very funny and he helps students in the morning before the day of a test! He is the BEST and COOLEST! He is a kind teacher to support the smile club while selling candy to his students!
he's barely even a teacher. he just wrights stuff on the board and exspects u to do it or gives lectures that are very hard to understand. for part of the year i had a freaking 19%
He's cool, but he thinks he's hilarious, he's not. I ended up out-smarting him about almost everyone one of his jokes, i think he liked me for it though. tests are HARD though.
hes really easy i got a 96 in ap bio without doing the ec just copy down all the notes
His class is awesome. You gotta be smart to get some of his jokes...hahaha, study guide is fairly easy, the lectures are really interesting. AWESOME!!!!!
over all i liked him.. he's pretty nice and i did allright in his class... not on the tests, but i did the homework
still got a B in his class, but he was pretty cool.........had many interesting stories and was funny
really really really nice nice nice guy, i had Ds and C-s in his class, but hey, most of my tests grade were low Fs and he sitl gave me D+ n C-, funny guy
He's really funny and fairly easy-going. Just turn everything in on time and don't miss class -- or he'll make you sorry.
Very cool teacher, not hard...just study lots and you should to fine!
he's cool.. ez hw... honors is ez.. buh i hope it stayz this way.... i heard he hard tho.. he funny... kinda dorky lookin tho
I DO HATE HIM HE IS THE HARDEST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD.. DO NOT TAKE CLASS WITH HIM
hard...3 hour study guides and none of it is on the test
One of my favorite science teachers ever. Odd guy though.
