I adore Mrs. Burdyshaw!!! AP US History was a difficult class, but she supplies so much extra credit and help that it's ridiculous not to pass. Great person and teacher, you're lucky to have her.

She is hilarious and knows what she's doing. She's a machine when it comes to grading and passing back papers. I loved her, despite the carpool tunnel.

You take a crapload of notes in class to the point where your hand feels as if it's going to fall off, then go home and write a long outline for homework. So much writing its insanity!! Oh- and her tests are tricky

The workload in her AP US class is absolutely ridiculous, however, it's much easier then AP Euro in my opinion. Lots of notes, outlines, studying and reading, but you learn a ton! Bshaw has a great sense of humor as well :)

Speaks in abbreviations, I mean what is G.A.S.I.F.T.T.? She wrote that on the board thinking you get it as "Great Awakening, study it for this test." And there are too many Ab. T.M. (too many)

I learn a lot from her class, but she just gives out way too much homework. Sorry, but I think 6 hours to do one homework assignment is asking a bit much. She is very sweet though.

she definitely grades subjectively. i thought she was a nice teacher but i can't give her credit for my exam score at all. i hadn't learned a thing until i started my independent studying for the exam. she's still likable :D

Burdyshaw is an overall bad teacher. You learn a lot in her class, but a lot of the learning is done on your own. She talks way too fast and has an extremely flawed grading system. You'll learn nothing from her directly.

Burdyshaw is not for the weak of mind or people with low self confidence. she'll call you out and make things difficult, but you'll learn more about history than you thought was possible. she's very entertaining as well.

she does give a lot of busy work, you pretty much have to memorize everything she says to do well in the class, but it gets you in the habit of studying hard, so the AP exam was easy

Burdyshaw is a good teacher. She goes semi-fast sometimes, but that is to be expected in an AP level class. You don't have to try that hard to get an A or a B in the class.

Burdyshaw is biased and once she doesn't like you there goes u're grade. she gives pointless assignments and takes of random points. i doubt she wants to see anyone succeed.
