I think he truly, truly cares about his students, I am in his AP Calc class, he shifts around tests and quizzes based on student's homework load. You can tell he is trying to help you and teach. But honestly he makes things very complicated and the way he teaches is not for me. Overrall he is a very nice guy, makes weird cringe jokes, you'il laugh at its cringiness, not how funny the jokes are, don't really know how to teach but if you ask him individually he Really DO help!
i've learned that he teaches better one on one instead of in a group setting, so if you didn't understand the lesson in class, asking him for help during passing periods or lunch really helps. he really wants to see his students succeed and is very personable and fun to be around.
I had this guy for calculus. awesome guy very helpful. he once (i doubt he does this always) asked our class what time would be good for an ap test review time for that same date. he was there for more than the hour he promised which was around 7:30 when most teachers would be grading papers or sleeping at home. super helpful super nice. be respectful, pay attention in class, and your guaranteed a B or higher and a 4 or higher on the ap test. ball is baller
Mr. Ball was such a great guy. Had to learn most of the material on my own but you could tell he really cared about us. Tests ranged from really hard to really easy. Overall really funny guy just expect to need a tudor.
Mr. Ball is a very nice person, and you can tell he cares about his students, but he is not a good teacher by any stretch of the imagination. He explains the material in a way that doesn't make much sense at all.
Mr. Ball wants his students to succeed. If students do not understand the material, they MUST talk to him! He really appreciates that students go to him outside of class. He is much more understanding
A wonderful guy, but not a good teacher. My tutor can explain the lessons about 10 minutes faster and MUCH more clearly than Mr. Ball.
He is a wonderful human being, but teaching is definitely not his thing...after asking a question many students end up more confused than in the beginning.
hes a good guy, and hes tries his best to teach us well...my problem is geometry is just really hard
i think his notes arent very clear. maybe if we actually wrote notes it would be easier to understand because i basically have to learn this stuff on my own
i had him for geometry and now i TA for him hes a really great person and a pretty good teacher
I truly do like him as a person, but he seems to be a bit too mean when kids start talking while he is teaching. His directions aren't very clear, but then again I don't really pay attention...Meh
Cool guy, can sometimes be a pain. Overall great though
He really understands what pressure students are put under, and he makes an honest effort to help you as best as possible
coolest teacher i have had this year, makes math fun
His lectures are not at all clear but if you ask him for individual help, he will explain things very clearly.
Mr. Ball is really good one-on-one and making things sound simpler. If you don't have a knack for math his explainations can be challenging. good person!
Mr. Ball really cares about his students. Yeah sometimes he has trouble explaining certain things but he really works with students to help them get the grade they want. I like him as a teacher.
He's somewhat mercurial, but a good teacher. If you need help, he helps. If it's too much homework, he reduces it. I'm in honors, and it's perfect. Not too hard, but not super easy.
He's a nice teacher, and always there for you when you need help. The only downside is that he gets moody sometimes (which can affect your learning).
He's definately good with our class, honors geometry. he's really leniant and helpful, but sometimes doesn't teach very well. he's fun to have. [=
He taught an outstanding electronics class in the early 90s. Perfect balance, I learned a ton without feeling overwhelmed or intimidated. Don't know if he still teaches it though.
Personally, didn't jive with his teaching style in Pre-Calc. Others did well--if you're a visual/linguistic person, consider other teachers. Often off-topic. Very understanding and good-natured!
He is a very nice teacher and will do almost anything to help someone, but he is not good at teaching and gets off topic way too much
I really like him...I always get lost at Geometry but I'm actually learning about proofs and properties of circles. He teaches me a lot in a short time. Go him and go Kauzer too!
VERY good at explaining things!!!! will take time out of his day to assist you w/whatever you don't understand. Can be moody but overall very nice.
He really really wants you to do well. This has 2 effects: 1, he gives tons of EC and 2 he will do anything humanly possible to get u 2 understand the material
Mr. Ball makes everything so understandable! And such a great guy too. I've learned more in his class than any other math class i've ever had.
I learned so much last year in Geo. and I did really well. If you just apply yourself, he likes you. When he likes you, you can get tests put off for a week!!!
Mr. Ball Rules!!! if you all think he cant teach... it just means you dont understand geometry at all... hes the greatest!!
very good teacher...crazy...but good...we love you Mr. Ball!!!
I kind of feel sorry for him sometimes. Still dont excuse yelling at kids.
he was awesome when i had him. give him a break, his wife just had a kid!
Good teacher but a little crazy, but that's what kept the class interesting
a little crazy sometimes, and teaches you more about life than math
Mr. Ball helped me out with family problems, and math problems. Hes cool
sometimes confusing but is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet
