Ronning would be everyone's favorite teacher if he diversified his lectures and made them more interesting. This doesn't necessarily make him unfit for the job, because when you do listen, you learn a lot. He is also receptive to questions and does his very best to answer them.
Mr. Ronning is an interesting guy. You can tell that he's actually chill and he wants you to succeed in his class but it's just so brutally boring that it's really hard to pay attention. I genuinely feel bad for this dude because no one cares about his class and he knows it. The workload is definitely way lighter than another math class but that doesn't mean that this class is an easy A.
Mr. Ronning is a very nice teacher, when I would come in after class and ask questions he would answer all of them, no matter how many I had and made sure I understood the topics. His class is "easy" if you work hard, ask questions, and actually read the book. The investigative tasks I had the hardest time understanding, but the exams usually balanced out my grade. I would recomend this class, while it's not easier than a math class, it is certainty enjoyable.
The people who gave Mr. Ronning a low rating are the same ones who took AP Statistics expecting it to be an easy A. I was genuinely interested in learning the material and Ronning did not fail to do his job in teaching it. He is very good at explaining when you ask him questions individually but his teaching style could improve. Overall Ronning is a solid teacher and is willing to help those students who really want to learn the subject and do well on the AP test.
If people actually paid attention in his class, everyone would do perfectly well. When you ask him questions on the material you can tell he knows the stuff - and knows it well. Most students that take this class don't bother listening or studying and blame it on his teaching. He's funny and grounded and cares about how well you do as long as you care to try.
Very frustrated man who genuinely likes statistics, but doesn't enjoy teaching those who aren't willing to put in the time to study. Don't take the rest of the class' approach and cheat on the exams. Go to class (many skip) and read the textbook.
I had him for Geometry, When all of his Geometry classes took the Geometry part of the Star test, they all claimed that they didn't do well on it. I did well on the Geometry Star Test, but that was because it was my second year of learning Geometry. I like Ronning better than my previous Geometry Teacher, but he can't really teach...
Mr. Ronning is a good math teacher who makes sure that students understand the material. I was in his AP Stats class last year and got a 4 on the AP exam because of his effective teaching.
his stats class is pretty chill, but can be hard at times. He sometimes spends too much time waiting for people to answer his easy questions.
He didn't really do much. At least a few days a month were "work days". I simply taught myself from the book.
Homework doesn't really count for anything. Do well on the tests, they are what matter.
He's sarcastic, but doesn't mean to be hurtful and is really funny. He knows statistics, and in my class covered the entire textbook throughly. Maybe a little lazy, but helpful if you need help.
I cant think of I a cooler teacher. so funny in a sarcastic way. actualy cares about what he teaches. easily the best math teacher ever.
So great! He's sarcastic but hilarious and makes math fun. Great help if you need a little extra something to do well. Highly recommend
funny at times with very witty jokes. recommended highly
it is sometimes unclear what is needed to get an A on the tests, which is what his class is mostly based on.
Usually bitter and moody, but he does know his stuff, people give him a hard time.
