Mr. James is literally my favorite human being ever. He has such a different mindset from other teachers. He teaches differently, and most people are intimidated because he's the department head, but he is never mean. He is just amazing, and I've learned so much in chemistry. If you struggle in science though, this may not be the right class for you.
He's a highly intelligent professional, a hilarious guy, and a good person. He knows what he's doing, he's a good teacher, but he can be a little intimidating at times--make sure you think carefully about your questions and be ready for quick responses in the discussion. He can pick out from a crowd who can be successful and who can't, so make a good first impression. The tests can range between really easy and really hard, but he grades very fairly.
Mr. James is the Godfather in STEM Academy. He has high expectations when you pass him literature reviews. He's a progressive teacher, but if you stick to his "plan" you'll be fine. Remember failure is an option.
Very knowledgable yet picks favorites in AP Chem based on who was in his honors chem class
Not an easy class, but he gives you all the tools you need to succeed. He's also extremely understanding, fair, and reasonable!
Is very hard to understand because he seems to have a jumpy personality, going from one subject to the next. Over all he is an AMAZING teacher! Funny and easy to get along with. (honors chem)
Hilarious guy, good teacher. Expects too much from Honors students sometimes.
MJ is a great teacher...lack sympathy sometimes...but really teaches you a lot
He really made Chemistry interesting, and seems to really want us to do well. He is always ready to help.
he is a great teacher and makes chemistry interesting. He helps everyone and answers every question.
great sense of humor, very entertaining. the class itself (honors chem) is very hard, but worth it
Mr. James is fair and he tells great, relevant stories. I'm learning alot.
His classes are difficult, but they are worth it for his unique sense of humor
