Good teacher and fun.
Loved her Puntos Culturales...she is strict with cell phones and tardys but is fun!
She really helps her students, and she wants to learn different cultures.
She totally made us feel safe in a lockdown situation we had. I was scared!!!
She's pretty nice
She's funny and happy all the time in class. She really wants us to speak Spanish.
She's pretty cool.
Awesome! She's funny and we're talking in Spanish already. Nothing like the bad reviews.
Got a good grade in this class though I had to work for it. Stra met with me during my open to help me when I needed help. I feel well prepared now for Spanish 4!
Rough start but she does take the time to answer student questions :)
Worst teacher I have ever had and I can't imagine ever having a worse teacher. I did not learn anything and feel like I have lost knowledge from her class. She does not take any feedback from students and yells when a student has a valid complaint.
Loved her second semester! The second half of the year was so different. Though she still was strict with cell phone rules, she was very flexible in helping you out when you asked for it.
Does not care about her students and I was deprived of a whole semester of learning.
Okay teacher, sort of challenging. The 30303010 thing is sort of ridiculous because we have barely any grades so one grade is like 10%. The problem is we have had multiple subs(about ten) and we aren't even done with 1st quarter. Apparently she did that last year too.
Dude you must be getting a bad grade. If sra speaks English, it is probabely because you don't understand Spanish and she is trying to help you. You sound like the angry one who is not getting what you want. Grow up and ask for help. She has helped some of my friends during her opens. Oh and the 30% is a department thing.
She did not like when students spoke in English, but they shouldn't be anyway because you're there to learn Spanish. She lets you speak in English at the beginning though, to answer questions and stuff. She has cool stories because she travelled all over the world, and likes to share experiences, and she really cares about the students understanding different spanish speaking countries. She does grade participation somewhat strictly, but if you answer a question about once a day you should be ok
I totally disagree with that review. If Sra chops your head off when you speak English, its because your in a class to learn Spanish, DUH!! She doesn't play favorites, she calls on students who make an effort to participate. She even allows you to check her participation chart everyday so you can do something about your grade instead of whinning about it.
I had her for Spanish 2 H. Hard, hard class. I did not enjoy one second of it. She loves busy work and if you ask questions, she just repeats what she said the first time again and again.
Doesn't teach conjicantions. focuses on countries that we don't need to know. and gives us more information than needed for the quizes and doesnt tell us what is on the test.
Strict with the NO INGLES rule but she is always fair and doesn't have favorites. She's pretty funny, too!
la srta es muy muy chevere! ella ensena la clase muy bien. me gusta la srta
kinda sick of always having to be on ur toes in this class---world language isnt supposed to be ur toughest class
Srta. Phillips is an awesome teacher! Just make sure you stay on top of the assignments she gives - DO THE HOMEWORK! She gives a lot of tiny quizzes so if you do well on those, thats !Muy Chevere! :)
