I took AP Chem with Mrs. Stordeur many years ago. The course is very important for college/life, so stick with it! While Mrs. Stordeur can sometimes be confusing while teaching in front of the class, she is very knowledgeable. The best way to do well in AP Chem is to read the textbook a lot on your own, and supplement her lectures with self-teaching. That way the materials she covers in class are more of a review than hearing it for the first time. That's how I got a 5 on the AP test!
Very bad teacher. Too lazy to get up and teach the class and wonders why everyone fails the tests. Broke a beaker once and she didn't even look up to see if everybody was ok and I didn't know what to do with it. That pretty much made me dislike her.
I made the mistake of taking AP Chem. If you get confused by Mrs. Stordeur you are not alone.
She writes great letters of rec. and she is super nice and if you do what she asks you are so much better off in college. Good luck!
Her class is rather easy, but I really can't stand her. She is not helpful and not clear AT ALL on some things.
She cares about both her students and the subject very much, what more could you ask for. You'd better be willing to learn something though, or save her the trouble.
She is a very nice supportive teacher who always gives you help in or out of school, and cares for her students.
She is a brilliant woman but is not a teacher. She knows her stuff. She expects you to know everything already.
Doesnt explain anything. Does like to answer questions. Not a real helper. Takes brownies for extra credit. Good luck
she expects people to know what to do and how to do it correctly. i am a straight a student, and i got by w/ a C in her class just because she doesn't like me
WORST TEACHER AT HANFORD. I am almost a straight A student. She manages to give me a C somehow even though I do the work and ace tests. GET PALMER!
She's one of those teachers that will tell you how to do something and then just expect you to know how.
She's a great person, but in her class you have to teach yourself chemistry. Sure, you'll get an A in the class, but the AP test is another story.
She is too absent minded to teach she is also unclear. she makes everything more difficult than it could be.
