She is an awesome teacher and prepares you beyond the AP exam. She is difficult but the work helps with preparing for the AP exam!
if you dont agree with her, you're wrong. end of story.
She is hard but she is always willing to heklp and is a very nice lady
I agree with everyone below about conforming to her philosophies/ideas. if you don't agree with her, just pretend you do, it's no use trying to have your own opinion in there. Also, her class is very
She has a hard class. There's no denying that. But her writing workshops every week help A LOT. Clarifys projects days before their due. Usually finds a way to help you if your often engaged.
Mrs. Erickson's class was tough but it made me a better writer and the 12 days of grammar really helped me score well on standardized tests. She's a teacher you appreciate later in life.
Doesn't care about her students. Blames the students for failure without regarding her involvement in the teaching. Doesn't clarify what she wants. Crude. Tough. Good writing teacher.
okay, so many of you past students say that you really liked her because the difficulty of her work made AP seem so easy. but remember: what was it like when you were doing her work? the horror...
you hate her class when you have it because of the work, but the next year you realize how much she has helped, especially with writing.
Doesn't explain things well; many assignments with vague explanations. Tons of homework with unspecific goals. NOT teaching material for AP. Really poor teacher; blames students for failures.
While Erickson may at first seem intimidating and even stressful to your life at school, you'll eventually realize that the hard work she had assigned really ends up paying off, regardless of grade.
Trust me... You appreciate the toughness in AP. You really really appreciate it, even if you fail.
One of the best teachers I had. Many of you may write these dumb statements about her, but next year you'll be thanking her. Its her teaching that makes the AP classes much easier.
She gives so much work to do in a small amount of time. I heard the ap class was easier. She makes students not want to go to ap. She makes you lose motivation.
Mrs. E is tight. She does speech and debate, AcDec, and teaches one of the hardest classes in th whole school. Everyone wishes they had her after your done, but not til then,
This teacher makes you lose your confidence as a writer. She is very hard, and she doesnt help you with your work. She just makes you guess and check.
helps a lot in ap, cuz its a lot like an ap class. she does have favorites but they change often so dont give up
REally helpfull going into ap english 11 rated by Joshua Kosar
She teaches you like she would teach a Literature or English major in college. The things is, no one in her class are/wants to be them.
Well, all I can say is that I'm glad to be outta there. She was a pretty good teacher, but the class was too hard. (And she doesn't like me very much)
I didnt like ericksonat first because she assigns a lot of work, but she really prepared me for AP english. she can be really nice and funny; shes one of my faves
Um...not much to say...that is, i'm speachless. Somewhat difficult class, conforming to her philosophies is big issue.
Most people cannot understand her instructions and when students ask questions she does not explain thoroughly enough to understand the task she wants completed
She seems harsh at first, but she really does help. She got me interested in a lot of different things and called me a jewel.
The class is very very hard and Mrs. Erickson helps very little and leaves you to figure a lot out on your own. Many people are disappointed in her teaching.
She's ok...she gets better towards the end of the year...the class is pretty difficult...but you really do learn something in the end...so it's not completely horrible...
the class is a lot of work so it helps to have her there helping after school
