The handouts are optional but you have to do them if you want credit.
Great all around
This guy assigns way too much pointless work. He teaches fine. The concepts aren't too hard to learn. He's pretty annoying though, and as I said, he assigns so much pointless busy work that he actually thinks is helpful. The class is fine, the labs are hell.
Takes care of his guys.
Literally the most painful year of my entire life. The worst class I have ever taken and easily one of the hardest. Sophomore Honors Chemistry will cause you pain and suffering. If the class doesn't...then his presence will
At first he seems like he would be a great teacher, but once you get to know him you begin to think otherwise. He for some reason the inability to help kids work through problems. He just yells at them. You end up teaching most of the class to yourself, but he said that is to be expected, and the tests are relatively easy if you can figure out how to read the textbook and teach yourself.
His explanations are really clear and he has good examples so I can understand the chem. Review sessions are helpful. Tests are hard, but fair.
I have never in my life hated a class more than this one. He expects you to pretty much teach yourself chemistry by just giving out handouts and telling you to read the textbook, only decides to teach after everyone fails a test. 0/10
Good class good teacher. Knows a lot and pretty enthusiastic.
People complain about him often... Just do the work and you'll be fine. He is a very smart man with a lot of knowledge in his fields. Do what he tells you and you won't have a problem! He can be pretty nitpicky though. He gives you assignments with minimal directions on what you're supposed to do and gets mad when it isn't exactly the way he wants it to be.
Dude, his honors class is great. Labs are awesome. We learn in groups. Stuff on tests is fair. He explains stuff better than the book!
His honors chemistry class is a nightmare
The man is great. He is not easy, he wont take junk, and he wont hold back on giving it to you. The class is relativity easy if you do what Motsay says and nothing otherwise. Work linearly effects grades in this class.
Guy knows a lot and takes time to explain. If you don't understand, he's available for help - all you got to do is ask. I went plenty of times it is helped a lot.
i really like the handouts that teach one part at a time. makes it really understandable. he's always at school early to help if you ask. reading like he asks helps too.
Now that I'm out I actually see that he did a lot to help us.
Never gave me a direction to help. He always carried a grudge of some kind, and has favorites. Not his favorite, you're doomed.
Learned alot in his class. He made us think and asked us to do the right thing. That's helped me.
a little obsessed with wizard of oz but he's still a funny guy and a great teacher
Mr. Motsay, Thank you for your help in Chemistry. You are one of the kindest, most generous people I have met. Now that I have become an adult, I can appreciate that you are truly at the Hall to help students prep for future
best science teach at the hall... took hon. bio, wish i'd taken his chem instead of reamy's... taking web design in the fall. make sure you precipitate!
Not a terrible teacher, but in class he barely scatches the surface of what you need to know for the tests. Can't pass without teaching yourself a lot.
Awesome teacher, explains everything, but can be a real pain sometimes
makes chemistry understandable. good examples and plenty of practice.
He'll teach you alot. Enthusiastic, but can be over zealous and annoying at times. Hard tests.
Very helpful teacher always willing to give extra help before or after school
He substituted for our class the last few weeks and I learned more then than the first three months of school.
He has alot of neat tricks for learning chemistry. He also takes alot of time to answer questions.
he goes from smiling happy to giving you detention for the rest of your life and permanently tarnishing your transcripts, but he's a very enthusiastic teacher
He's short, but extremely intelligent. You might hate him while you're taking the class cause its hard, but afterwards you'll realize he's best sci teach @ Hal
I learned a lot about biology, chemistry and myself.
