great teacher has helped me so much with making me better at reading and speaking spanish. Have really enjoyed her class.
Solid teacher, has helped me a lot with my abilities to speak spanish
Extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. She is rude to almost all of her students at at least one point. She picks on certain students and seems to enjoy forcing shy kids to speak difficult Spanish aloud despite their obvious discomfort. She has moved all of the furniture into strategic spots in her classroom so that we could hide behind it and not be seen from the door if an intruder came. She seems to be incredibly self-involved & can't understand why she gets a ton of complaints every year.
She is a bad teacher but the students in my Spanish class are funny and sociable. I am glad those students are in my class otherwise this class would be awful.
It's not the greatest. Everyday you go in there wondering, what is going to happen today? And its not a fascinated wonder, its out of fear.
strict and unusual. if you get her, don't take her too seriously or you'll have a really bad time
Mrs. Speer may not be the easiest of French teachers, but I had her when I was a Junior at BHS and I am now a Junior French major in College, and I can honestly attribute my love of French to her.
I feel i know less about French at the end of a year in her class than I did at the beginning.
Funny and strange, but keeps you interested. Sometimes seems to grade arbitrarily based on what she thinks you deserve, but if you are attentive and do the work she'll assume you deserve an A.
I actually liked Mrs Speer. She is pretty intimidating, but if you see her in the hall or for help, she is really sweet. She also really likes her students too, and is trilingual!
Mrs. Speer was a great teacher-crazy lady-but always kept my attention! :o )
Ms. Speer is extremely organized and clear. Excellent teacher!
