I would not say that she is the worst teacher, but she could improve the way she gives students feedback. She would yell every time I would make mistake on my research paper, which made me very edgy and worried while in the process of writing. I have anxiety, so being yelled at is not helpful to me at all when completing an assignment. Yelling at students does not automatically make her easy to understand.
I have Mrs. Lusby this year for 9th grade. Mrs. Lusby is very knowledgeable about grammar and literature and draws interesting connections in literature. It's pretty easy to get an A in her class. I feel that she brings too much of her personal life into the classroom though. She tends to ramble and get off topic. When we take tests she is constantly sighing and once she even started to blurt out answers supposedly by "mistake."
She comes off as a very strict and tough teacher (which she is when it comes to grading) but she just wants her students to succeed because she cares about her students a lot. She's very passionate about what she does and you can tell she truly enjoys it. She's very knowledgeable and is able to answer all questions about grammar and literature. She always comes up with ways to help us learn and even if you don't think you're learning anything, you are.
She is one of the best teachers! She made class fun. She is great at what she does! I loved her class.
I really liked her class, then again, I had her as a freshman. She's really helpful once you get comfortable with her, but her grading style is really strict, especially with essays.
She is cold, and is moody. She is nice once you get to know her though.
I feel lucky to have had Mrs. Lusby as an English teacher. She really cares and no one knows the material better. She tries to pep up boring lessons for us and she has a soft heart.
She is very scary but awesome teacher. She tell me I am going to be a college literature professor.
Definatly a quirky lady but she's a great teacher. I had the pleasure of being with her for 2 years and while she did frighten me quite a bit, she was a lot of fun in the classroom. Not exactly the clearest of teachers but she knows when to give praise.
hahaha. love lusby! she scared me a little at first but after a while you get used to her and she's hilarious. she's really a good teacher!
kinda wierd really like her! good teacher... over does the grammar queen crap... wont give a 100 on an essay.. i guess im a favorite so its not too bad... wizard of oz needs to go
Alright teacher. picks favorites and has a lot of moodswings. holds you after class-- the bell doesnt dismiss u, she does. avoid her class.
so i personally cant see how some many of yall like her...first she picks favs...second her mood swings are fine unless u are at the other end of them...
ms lusby rocks!!! shes strict, but i love her stories and shes a really good teacher
I Love Mrs. Lusby!!!! She was the best. I still go and talk to her and she is so cool!
she teaches well but does not want to stay after school to help out or help you unless it is in class. she said to ask my sis to help me instead of her helping.
Ms. Lusby was an incrdible teacher...i'm just sad I only had her one year. I learned SO MUCH from her.
ive never learned so much about grammer in my entire life. shes good at teaching though that is for sure
I loveee Mrs. Lusby!!! She is such an awesome teacher, and she has her mood swings, but who wouldn't after teaching girls for 17 years?! She is awesome.
