Mr. Sayre has helped me expand my acting skills and conquer my stage fright. Although he can be confusing at times, he will always clarify if you ask him to. As long as you are respectful, you participate, and you try in his class, you will do well! He has a lot to offer and has a lot of valuable information you can glean from him--make sure you make the most out of your time with him!
Very helpful with tips on acting and pushes you to achieve
Dont take his class but get involved in plays! the producer, Todd, is the best!
Mr. Sayre is 1 of the most talented and knowledgable people i know in regard to theatre. He is extremely passionate
I only took his play production class because my parents just want me to be an actor. I auditioned for 8 shows sense freshmen year. I got into not 1. Thanks for ruining my dreams and making me a huge disappointment to my family.
There are no really great drama teachers in SB, but at least some of the others seem like they like students. Mr. Sayre makes it pretty obvious he would rather be acting than teaching - and his students are the ones who suffer. He is disorganized, doesn't really teach his classes (sometimes doesn't even show up) and he really needs to just go do what he wants to do so we can have a teacher who wants to be here, teaching us.
Clark Sayre is an amazing teacher, and frankly, I think anyone who enjoys theatre enjoys Mr.Sayre. Anyone who had left a poor review obviously has poor taste, for he is one of the most talented teachers and performers one could ever know. He made it to Broadway, and performed in Merrily We Roll Along and Oliver. He takes his passions from what he enjoys and puts it into his love for teaching. Anyone willing to give theatre a try, and have a positive attitude about theatre is sure to love Mr.Sayr
Mr. Sayre is the best teacher I have ever had. I have heard tell that he can get very angry, but I have never seen it. Only take the class if you really enjoy acting, because it really is important that you are willing to try. A personal friend of mine in the class was really frightened of being on stage before he took the class, and now he loves it.
Don't talk in class, he's a nice teacher if you're on his good side, meaning NO TALKING or gum, and hang out with different people every day or be antisocial.
He's an ok teacher you just have to be on his good side :) Like me
Drama queen. He is passionate though and wants to help as much as possible. Sometimes he gets really annoying.
Not a great teacher, problem is that he's a great director. Do tech if you like cause he pretty much leaves you alone.
