I was really hard work on his class, but only get a C. But he is Really smart, Just shouldn't be a teacher.
Iwan is a great guy, not always the most willing to give extra help, but not much is needed for APUSH anyways. He normally chooses one or two kids in his class he doesn't like and picks on them, just hope you aren't chosen so make a good first impression, do your work well for the first few weeks, the you can chill. Otherwise hes a super smart guy and I enjoyed having him as my teacher.
Well let me tell you Dan is a interesting man. Putting aside the fact he went to Yale and got his degree in law, his head is filled with so much knowledge it makes it weirdly shaped which distracts my learning.
He isn't a great teacher. He mostly just lectures all of class and won't teach you about certain things that end up being on the test. He gives constant hw that includes reading at least 10 pages every night. When it comes to grading he grades so hard. I work really hard in that class and still barley have a B.
He's an okay teacher. Basically just teaches you the unit and gives you the test. Not very willing to give extra help. Doesnt really prepare you for the new forms of the common assessments this year. He can be savage in class sometimes when talking to students. Overall cool dude but not who you want as your apush teacher.
Iwan is a great APUSH teacher in my opinion. There are a lot of application style tests (debates, presentations, etc.) which can be hard but are a lot better at gauging actual knowledge. As long as you keep up with the reading, his is a good class
Iwan is a great teacher! He gives far less work than the other APUSH teacher, Fisher, but we still learn everything we need too. He lectures but it's very interesting and honestly, how else do you teach history? His tests are pretty hard (NOT the same as Fisher's) but adequate studying will secure a good grade. One thing I noticed is that he tends to get very easily distracted, it's usually funny.
Easy B, have to put in some effort for an A. He is a nice guy, he's a funny guy and he is very laid back. His lecturing is very interesting, but he gets so into it that you get behind.
No difficulty getting an A in his class, but definitely requires some independent study if you want a 5 on the AP test. Assigns quite a few group projects.
Didn't teach what was on the AP test DBQ. goes reallyy fast the last 2 weeks before the AP test. mean, boring and monotone. tests are okay... but YOU WANT FISHER for AP U.S. History!
Too many people point out his lecturing to you, but not me; I enjoyed his humor. I also thought he put in a lot of work with the review sessions before the AP test to help us out
Dan was an above average teacher. While he prepared you for multiple choice section in the AP test, you will never learn how to properly write a DBQ. Oh and we learned the 1950s thru 2000s in one week before test.
Apush was a painful class, but you can't entirely blame Dan for that. He's a natrually boring man, but he can be all right. I didn't feel very prepared for the AP test. And don't ask him about his blond patch.
Cool dude. Breezes through the material, but a good teacher (even if his lectures are a bit boring), and he is excellent at getting us prepared for the AP test.
Funny, smart teacher. Knows the material really well. Obviously he isn't going to take his time with it as it's AP, so I expected that.
very easy, only b i got in the class for a qrt grade was 1st qrt, and it was an 89
have him for AP US history- he's mean but gets through the material
