Wasted time on his personal agendas while not teaching what subject was.
best teacher ever doesn't matter what anyone else says
Easily approachable if you have problems, sometimes unclear but usually will go over it again. Teaches everything you need to know about bio and then more about life. Great teacher.
Really made Biology interesting. I'm so glad I had him. Plus, he makes the class useful (if Biology isn't already useful enough) for the rest of your life.
Teaches everything you need to know to pass the tests well and more. Cares for students and wants them to do well.
his class teaching is useless information for quizzes/tests/final exams
hilarious stories; you can treat him as your peer, not teacher; learn so much from him.
tells a lot of great stories, gives tests later then they were expected, and teaches great. also, gives a ton of extra credit for non academic things.
Great at getting information across to his students. You'll learn a ton from him and view the world in a much different way. Does put his own opinion on issues sometimes, but otherwise is interesting, witty, and always there to help.
Had him for biology fresh year--- One of my favorite teachers ever, he's so funny! He tells so many stories and gets so excited about his subject that it just makes the class fun
I don't know why everyone didn't like him. Very passionate about the environment, great stories, another big highlight of my senior year. Preps you so-so for the AP test so study
AWFUL teacher. He loses their work and gives them F's saying they never did it. Very unfair and babbles on about personal things when he should be teaching.
Really funny. Stories are...um..interesting. But we have to learn everything on our own because he barely teaches at all.
I have a son, and he was pretty much forced to be kicked out of this class because Mr. Wilms would not stop talking liberally about everything.
he's a pretty cool guy, but not a good teacher...he's not clear about ANYTHING, but he's a nice guy...too many stories
Tells us about saving the environment instead of teaching while handing out 30 page packets and telling us he owns 4 cars! Talks about his chisled phisique and tells random stories
HORRIBLE teacher! Yells at students until they cry. Disrespectful. Told me I was a failure, but I now have a finance degree, and now I am at an Ivy (Columbia).
3 notebooks for APES? maybe we should do everything online so we save trees! dont preach about saving environment when you drive a gas guzzler...actually teach!
WELL.. he has good intentions.. talks too fast and kind of hard to learn from. nice man though
Great teacher if you actually want to learn. As long as you listen you will learn a lot.
I do believe he is a good person, but he confused me so much. If nothing else--he plays a WICKED guitar. Rock on that one.
Mr. Wilms is a good man and very funny. Lots and lots of amusing stories, but digresses and not the best at finishing lectures.
I love the way he teaches, he gives you the resources and puts you on the right track, but the effort is up to you. His sense of humor is phenominal, and he likes to go off on tangents(this keeps the class interesting and fresh). Great guy!
I liked Acc. Biology when i took it, and he just made it more interesting.
One of my favorites. Acc. Bio was one of my strongest and most enjoyed sciences. Loved all of his stories. All of you AP whiners, AP Envi is not an easy way out of an AP science credit, treat as if it were chemistry and dont be a disgrace to our school.
He is an environmental/engineering nerd, that much is obvious. He is also quite unconventional, and very intelligent. He goes off on tangents frequently, but its all to help us understand our world and the environment. I have learned much from him.
horrible teacher. cares too much about useless things. he is a disgrace to AP classes and the environmental studies dept.
he's unhelpful, and doesnt teach the material. he always goes off topic, and tries to be funny but he sint. too concerned with being liked.
Funny guy. Lots of great stories, not the BEST teacher, but he tries and makes things understandable. Good guy overall.
