I DINT NO MUCH BOUT POLITICS SO THEN I LEARNED IN THIS CLASS. HE IS VERY SCARRY LIKE OROCHIMARU BUT HE IS NICE TO SO IT IS A PARADOCKS SOMEHOW. HE DID NOT LETME WRITE IN CLASS WHICH WAS MEAN COS ENGLISH IS COOL AND I AM GOING TO BE A WRITER LIKE JK ROWLING SOMEDAY. SO HE DINT ENCOURAGER MY DREAM MUCH. BUT HE IS GOOD AT THE GOVERNMENTS AND ECONOMICS WHICH IS WHAT HE IS A TEACHER OF SO IT IS OK I GUESS.
Fantastic history teacher with a passion for what he does.
He is an amazing teacher because he makes you read the text thoroughly. His tests are hard because you can't just read skim the chapters. I found his teaching style effective because he engages you:)
the strongest history teacher I've ever had. The man knows so much and is so passionate to make sure his students understand what is happening. He makes his quizzes/tests hard by making questions abou
Fun class! great teacher too! but a hard grader when it comes to essays
Awesome teacher. You actually learn stuff unlike in the other history classes. He is very open minded and liberal. Covers all the interesting stuff in history. He is nice to students who work hard.
He prepares you well for college in-class essay exams but is rude to students who do not work hard or he does not like unrationally.
Excellent teacher. I felt ahead of my classmates in college who hadn't had a teacher that exposed them to the real history of people with all its ugliness and inequality. Awesome class!
Too easy.. its really cool that he lets us leave early, but I really learned next to nothing in his class. He also wears his political beliefs on his sleeve, which would be okay if he presented both sides of the argument. Still a cool guy.
He is easily the best teacher I have ever had. He teaches us what really matters and is a total inspiration, I just hope in college there are more teachers like him! ~ Your 1st period govt class
Easily the best teacher I had at that school, this was in the 80s. I imagine he's just as good now as he was then. Smart, funny, trustworthy, honest. No instructor I had in college was nearly as memorable or interesting.
was in his classes back in the late 80's, he was objective, sharp, and a great teacher back then. (yes time flies kids, it may not seem like it behind a school desk, but believe me it does) i'm glad to hear that Mr. D is still going strong. Know history to help understand the ‘what’ and the ‘why’ happening around you today, and don't be afraid of voicing your opinion to influence the future. That’s his point, it’s timeless and essential, regardless of endeavor.
he always told us stories about his life. hes been through a lot, and the things hes been through always somehow relate to what we were learning. he was my favorite teacher during highschool. most important thing about him was how he made class interesting.
He's awesome!!!! Sure, I didn't necessarily agree with his very liberal views but he was nice, funny, and always made Government/ Economics class a joy to be in. I was also a service student for his 1st period class and he hardly had stuff he needed me to do.
Ten years ago I walked into Mr. De Hart's class feeling neutral about history...and walked out with a love for the subject. His passion was inspirational. Even when I didn't entirely agree with his views I appreciated the emphasis he placed on critical thinking skills
The best teacher I've ever had. This man deserves mad respect!
Easily the best teacher I had at AHS. A demagogue and true believer, but was able to teach objectively - really opened my mind & prepared me for college.
I took Mr.DeHart's class back in 1995. Nearly 10 yrs later, I still remember him as one of my best teachers ever. He taught us about things that mattered.
Had a hard time not letting his personal confictions interfear with his teaching methods.
tells us stories all the time...his class is never boring
Mr. D is the man don't let anyone tell you different
everyone should have him at least once, he has a lot to say
