Mr. English, oh why oh why must you be so funny? Each one of your jokes has me cracking up inside, and sometimes I can't help it but burst out laughing. For example, just today in class, Mr English, wanting to get our attention, played 3 notes on his mini xylophone and then he announced to the class that "That was perfect". Ahahahahhhaahahahahaaa. There is something uniquely funny when you see a grown man with a DEAD serious expression on his face all the time act like a four year old.
God this course sucked so much. Mr. English has a really confusing teaching style so I pretty much learned the whole course from my tutor and the textbook. My advice is to actually learn the chapter yourself before Mr. English begins teaching it so you have some idea of what's going on. And do the homework.
He always talks in monotone, and doesn't know how to teach the material, his questions are worded weirdly and overall he tries to help students, however his teaching method doesnt work.
Mr. English is a horrible teacher. He tries to teach but ends up confusing everyone. His exams aren't that difficult but he grades horribly making getting an A very difficult. The worst part is when he tells you to ask questions but either doesn't take it seriously, or confuses you more with a pathetic answer. Unless you are really good at chemistry by nature, or are willing to self-study the course, I recommend dropping the course or asking to change teachers.
love him. best teacher ever!! life changing experience. Chem is my fav subject now!!! Gonna get into Harvard bc of him.
He doesn't really know what he is talking about half the time and confuses you more than you were before you asked him. He taught AP Chem his first year with me and it absolutely TANKED my GPA, I recommend dropping the class if you're not doing well.
DENGLISH. Doesnt answer your questions but if ur not retarted like thes people are in the comments youll do fine. He actually graduated from Princeton University (no joke) and he is probably one of the smartest people in the science department.
Hes not a bad guy and he tries to teach but honestly most the time he doesn't have the opportunity because no one listens to him.
Oh my god I am so sorry you need to be on this page. Switch out now. Just go, save yourself. Physics was impossible with him. He lacks the ability to express whatever it is that he is thinking, and in turn it leaves the students clueless. I know at least 4 girls in my class got tutors during the course of the year. Just switch out. If you can't, god be with you.
my experiences with david english, oh my god. life sucks. he doesn't explain anything and constantly trips on stuff around the room. for tests... sit next to a smart friend ;)
Once you get him switch out! he is the worst teacher ever. He has social problems, horrible handwriting, monotone voice and never answers ur questions.
I see there's a lot of complaints for mr. english. but he's a nice guy and knows what he's talking about. its true that he doesn't explain things very well, but all you ned to do is ask him a couple times or stay after a day.
he is the worst teacher i have ever had. he never explains himself. never teaches us anything. if you thinking of not going to college and failing high school go to his class freshman year, he'll make that possible. He never
If you need some sleep during the school day, English's class is the place to do it. He's monotone and quiet, perfect for making you pass out. If you sit in the back and but aren't exceptionally loud, he won't notice you at a
from what i've heard...he definitely improved for our class. he was a pretty easy grader, didn't mind that i slept in class, and had his (awkward) cool moments.
he certainly favors people. He doesn't teach properly and fails to answer my questions...he just ignores me ALL the time.
Well, you can ask this guy a question and he goes on and on, but surprise, it has nothing to do with the question asked!! His lab coat may say "chemistry master," but this guy is far from it
Mr. English is constantly vague with his arguments as well as teaching. I don't know what he's talking about 99% of the time.
