Overall, a man who thinks he knows absolutely everything, and not just about physics. He clearly plays favorites with students and his grades reflect this. Every time I went up to ask him a question I got shooed away or given a passive-aggressive answer rather than being offered any help regarding the subject of physics. He clearly stated that he doesn't like children, so it leads one to question why he ever became a high school teacher.

Mr. Platt is not a teacher I would recommend to everyone, but he can be absolutely amazing if you have the work ethic. He doesn't teach an easy subject, if you go into his physics classes, expect to work hard. A lot of other ratings say that he never goes over homework and it's because you need to ask him to go over the specific part of a specific problem you have. He isn't just going to do a whole problem for you. Overall, he's a fun guy with an interesting class. Loved having him as my teacher

Mr Platt is great. He's enthusiastic and smart and cheerful and loves to teach. He is a quick thinker and can come up with an alternate explanation if a student expresses confusion. Physics is hard, sure, but if you have to study it then Mr Platt is there for you.

Words could never do Mr. Platt's Physics class justice. Obviously, the subject is a tough one. Mr. Platt breaks it down, makes it engaging, and downright fun. He is extremely intelligent and well rounded. His practical examples are incredibly easy to understand and useful in helping students grasp the bigger picture. He is tough, but very fair. A professional in every way. I will take higher levels of Physics because he makes the subject fascinating and lets us have fun learning.

Mr. Platt made it easy for me to understand such an abstract concept like physics. He is incredibly smart and very easy to approach with questions, although most of his lectures are so thorough that i am not left with many unanswered questions.

I had him for regular physics. He slightly touched the subject and his explanations were brief. He was not very thorough. The only reason he kept his job is because he was the only physics teacher.

Mr. Platt is an awesome teacher, if you're willing to work. Unless you happen to be able to magically master the dozens of formulas, aftershool help is a must.
