I had an awful time with Ms. Winkler years ago. Her flip classroom does not work and leaves students confused and only the ones that can learn the best on their own do well. Her tests were not fair and those that did well on them was because of outside math they have done in the past. Tests would have things we had never seen before.
Mrs. Winkler is one of the best teachers I've had at BHS. She is so caring an genuinely cares that students learn. She is a great teacher and explains all the concepts really well. Her tests fairly asses what you should have been learning. Homework can seem tedious but is good practice.
Don't know why she doesn't just teach math traditionally. Flipped classroom system does not work and her videos are sometimes hard to follow. Often just watch Khan Academy instead.
Ms. Winkler is a fabulous math teacher. She helped me turn my math grade around! She was very clear, and I really liked how she posted notes and resources online for easy access and extra practice. I highly recommend her!
She is an excellent teacher and a fantastic person. Genuinely cares about her students and if you go after school for help she will do anything she can to help you. She is kind and funny and class is so much fun. (On fridays she hands out chocolate!)
Ms. Winkler is the best math teacher I've ever had. She's excellent at getting everyone to understand as much as possible, and genuinely wants everyone to succeed. She makes every class fun and she's extremely kind and hysterical.
As a parent, I love her email announcements. I wouldn't know what was going on without them. Excellent communication.
She's really funny. Makes the long block bearable. I like that she stayed after school every day for help.
Best teacher! She stayed every day after school to help me. Really nice. Really patient. Everyone loves her.
A nice person but an AWFUL teacher. The class gets out of control really fast and kids are yelling and throwing things and she just sits there and laughs. about 80% of the class is reviewing hw and the last 20% is briefly covering things that will be on the hw that night, leaving kids confused and unable to do the hw. then, when the whole class does awful on the test she blames us for not studying hard. she also isnt available for much help outside of school.
She's ok; not too clear and get's distracted easily.
She's a really good teacher, she sometimes doesn't explain stuff to well, but she's always there to help you.
Ms Winkler is an amazing/coolest teacher teacher. she is my favorite!!
If you're not great at math, it can be easy to fall behind, and she's not always very clear. But she's super nice, and if you go in for extra help, she genuinly wants to help you.
i love her! she is so cheery and nice plus always helpful!
Ms. Winkler was an amazing teacher, I learned so much in her class.
Winkles is the best!! I had her Freshman year for 1 AP & she is awesome! Made me really love math.Explains really well. Got straight As in her class & loved it!
you are a very nice person but i would agree that you overestimate the amount of comprehension your students have. also you need to be more availible for help.
Boring and unhelpful. Can't answer questions, although she does try. Makes math miserable. "Hello, hello? Hello, hello?"
A sweet person, but an average teacher. Nice but may overestimate and underestimate students' abililties.
What a wonderful woman and an amazing teacher. She is helpful, caring and funny. Never yells but doesnt stop saying hello (which just adds to her charm)
She's good. Very patient with questions. Easy to talk to about math and other stuff.
Ms. Winkler was great! Really helpful. She came in early whenever I needed help.
really sweet, really good at explaining things. wish she hadn't left for maternity leave.
Winkles is the best math teacher I have had to date.
Nice person but really bad teacher....cant explain things clearly and then offers to TUTOR outside of class....should be teaching in the class
good teacher, but i didn't see much of her because she went on maternity leave
