Calkins is retiring this year ...he said stuff like "why don't you just sit there and collect dust!!" "Oh look, it's the legend of his own time, what are you doing contemplating the 5th demension?" or, "so you are just sitting there waiting for osmosis to take place?" ugh!! but he's pretty cool !!

His class is pretty chill but he doesn't really go through the material thoroughly. You really have to study to understand what's going on.

Spanish 3 not a very hard class; do the homework and study and you will be fine, just sit back and watch him bash the slackers.

yeah, I remember Calkins from last year... he was by far the funniest teacher I had, but all he did was make jokes, not really teach... a fun class, but you needed to put in a lot of work from the book to make up for what you didn't learn in class.

Senor Sarcastic strikes again. Super funny, really strict, but once he gets used to your class, he lightens up.

Tough, but fair. It is apparent that he tries very hard to teach his subject well, but occasionally he falls a bit short. He could be a little less strict, but if you know the subject he is very reasonable.

He is a good teacher. When I had him in my freshmen year, I had quizzes every single day. So I suggest that you study hard. He does look like a Spaniard though. Haha.

easy spanish 2 class cuz of extra credit. He is either very rude or very funny. He teaches very fast so must keep up the pace. The good thing: no projects until near end of the year.

He still talks like that? "strike lightening.." It's funny to other students, but not to the student it's aimed at. The lightening talk is getting old.
