Everyone says that he is super hard but that's only because he actually teaches you something. If you don't listen in class and you slack off, then sure, he's a hard teacher. But with that logic, all teachers are "hard". Mr. Scott gets stuff done and he gets it done well. If you actually pay attention in class and you do your work every day, then his class will be one of the most rewarding you've ever taken.
He is the smartest and meanest man alive.
he made me feel dumb in class and whenever anyone would ask a question he would make them look stupid in front of the class. my grade in the class wasn't excellent but I did do very well on the AP exam so I can't exactly complain
My experience was terrible. He is the worst math teacher I've ever had. He made me hate math, and very nearly ruined my year. He was the only math teacher in our school who made us do homework as a grade. No one does that, hw is where we learn. He is so unreasonable when it comes to absents that approaching him is a terrifying experience. I got yelled at and shamed in front of the entire class. I was leaving for a funeral...I'm not the only one who feels this way. He does not deserve to teach.
He's really smart and capable of teaching you but his methods are unfavorable at the least. He's a good teacher but not a fun teacher. He makes you nervous just being in his room but you do feel superior just being in his class compared to the other math classes. If you want to feel like your in a much higher math class then go with him. He expects a lot from you, probably more than anyone can actually give. You will be doing his homework everyday no doubt about that.
He expects a lot of his students, but was honestly one of the best teachers I've every had. You can't slack off in his class which is a good thing.
Scott focuses on the correctness of any and all homework assignments. His lectures are extremely helpful and pertain to the homework assignments, and the quizzes and tests don't throw anything new in the students' faces. He keeps things consistent, but is a harsh grader, gives a lot of homework, and asks a lot of the students.
Mr. Scott does what he needs to get done, but he does it in a way the class like trying to get blood from a rock. Make any sense?
He's definatly not the warm and fuzzy kind of guy, but he is an excellent teacher. I learned so much from him. His class is boring, but you'll learn
what is up with him teaching calc? he has no clue what he is doing and students correct him a lot. also has freakouts constantly. he cannot relate to kids and seems to hate them
random freakouts aside, not a bad teacher by any means.
The best math teacher I've had at DHS. I like the teaching style- writing the notes on the board and explaining them.
