Pleasant if you speak with her on a personal level, but she tends to cater to the "popular" crowd- sporty or outgoing types. If you aren't amongst those, or aren't one of her top students in the AP class, she has a "couldn't care less" attitude. Literature is barely skimmed and there wasn't much emphasis on critical thinking or investigative learning. The class is mostly "learn the to pass the test". This teaching style is what leads students to wonder what the point is to learning any of it.
I may be the only one who doesn't like her, but for good reason. She refused to teach often in class. The class was unruly, and she did nothing about it. I was highly disappointed in her teaching.
Mrs. Grubbs ROCKS!!!! Best teacher ever. Especially for AP students. :]
My only B ever in my whole life. But I hold no Grubbs I mean grudge. But great person and teacher besides the whole grading thing. Very good senior sponsor.
Hello?!?!?! Were you in the same class as I was? We did barely 3 or 4 prompted writings in preparation for the AP test. She's a lovely lady though...
