Sorry Mr. O cannot get you into MIT, he can however make you a well rounded student, and perhaps improve your art. If you approach Art with the idea of expanding your horizons and not a blow off break from all your hard classes you might just learn something abstract and beautiful.
Photo 1. He's nice. Use classtime to be productive for some class. His memory isn't great-he forgot to change my grade in June. A week of sucessive classes, he told us "next class" we'd do critiques.
He really loves what he does. He's funny and always willing to help you come up with more ideas for your work. The only reason to take photo 1 is so you can do photo 2 though, so take both!
I had him for Photo 1. Very heavy on homework, unless driving around taking pictures is your thing. Then it'd be fun. He's the only art teacher, so there is no alternative. Not nearly bad enough to stop you from taking art if you like the subject.
if you are good at art/photgrpahy/whatever class you have him for, he will love you. i was lucky enough to have talent. as for my fellow classmates, he picked on them like no other. he's really moody and only does favors for his favorites. also, PHOTO1 sucks. everyone slacks off until the last week and then we all rush and stress to take 9 rolls. photo2 rocks, though.
He's a cool guy. Really supportive of his students. A bit odd sometimes, and his jokes aren't always funny, but he really is a nice person most of the time. He does talk a lot, though it's not too bad if you space out a little bit...
Strange man. Doesn't know a thing about computers and makes terrible jokes.
Mr. Okazaki is kinda egotistical. He was always saying things like "you guys are here to benefit from my expertice" and he cracks jokes that nobody thinks is funny.
Art 1 is a waste of time - teacher talks about himself while kids do nothing. Teacher stabs pins carelessly through what few drawings are done to slap them on walls.
ODD. threatened to throw somebody out of class because they were coughing ("I can't have you infecting all the healthy people, either stop coughing or leave"
A great guy, but doesn't know what he's teaching. In computer graphics, he didn't understand any of the programs we were using, so we had to figure it all out ourselves.
computer graphics with him is the easiest class - definitely take it. Definitely do NOT take photo, however - worst class ever. he also talks too much
Very cool, everyone who gives him a bad rating is stupid
Come on its art class. He gives you an A you get to watch movies and eat doughnuts, just space out when he's talking and this class will be your favorite
i wish he could shut up about himself every once in a while. i really dislike him, but at least it's not a real class.
egotist and talks too much about himself, always insulting your work, and takes way too much credit for what hes doing
i didn't have a great experience in this class. independent study is okay, but he tends to take too much credit for his students' work.
what are you guys talking about? i loved this guy! he can be a LITTLE moody, but if you work at it, he's great. i would repeat the class if i could!!!!!!!!!! :(
Needs to stop living in the 60s. He can't even spell computer or art, much less teach them. His brain has a poor balance of positive and negative space.
class is easy if you just do the assignments...we order food sometimes. yay.
HE MAKES ME SO MAD. DOESN'T TEACH ART, CRITICIZES IT
Very irritating...good artist but thinks all art should be as good as his
his art is excellent... cant say the same for his computer skills
