Enlightening and entertaining at the same time. Favorite class for me this year.
Very insightful teacher. She is very knowledgeable, and represents 98% of all the knowledge in the Whitney High School English department.
She goes on random rants about subjects, and *some people* in our class try to encourage her to just so they don't have to turn in their homework, but somehow her random rants are actually related to what she's trying to teach and help me remember. Her class makes a nice relaxation period too, because she relatively gives less in-class assignments, which I think is more effective since I learn better listening rather than doing the HW that most other english teachers give.
Mrs. Hall is a very interesting teacher. I've had her for two years and under her my writing and ability to analyze got a lot better. She seems to go off on tangents a lot but somehow she manages to greatly help you. I dont know how she does it, but a overall a great teacher and person.
I really like Ms.Hall! One of my favorite teachers. She always goes on a tangent, but she helps you with essays and shes really good at teaching
it feels like we spent the year talking about irrelevant random stuff, but my essay writing still improved a lot, and her analyses (esp. les mis) are really thorough and interesting
Easily the best teacher I've ever had at Whitney. She's funny, brilliant, *cough*beautiful*cough*, and my writing has improved immeasurably thanks to her. This is one lady who knows what she's doing.
There is more to life than just the individual subject at hand. While she definitely can go off on tangents, it is typically at the egging on of students. Choosing to distract her in order to waste
Probably the best teacher in Whitney at digressing in her lectures, but her demeanor and her open talking definitely separates herself from other teachers. English is not exactly the easiest subject to teach, but she seems to have a good grasp on it and knows what shes doing. Interesting teacher to have and definitely one of the better English teachers at Whitney.
if you ask her about flowers, she'll talk for an hour about it. by the end of the conversation, you'll be talking about nuclear explosions. in other words, she gets off topic EASILY. and if you bs the homework, she barely notices.
I like her class, but wow, she grades essays hard. Received a B the entire first semester with one bad essay.
I think Hall has been one of the best English teachers I've had. Although I admit that my writing did not improve much (I've always been a decent writer), my reading skills improved immensly. Hall helped me realize just how awesome literature is, and how many-fauceted a work can be. She does tell a lot of her life stories, but I personally find them interesting and in a way, it's her form of passing on advice to her students. She also does not berate her students and talks to them like they're adults.
Well, what can I say about Hall. First of all, she doesn't teach at all! How does she expect us to improve in that class? Second, we get to hear her wonderful life stories. TFS! Lastly, she thinks she knows everything, but all she knows is bs like astrologoy, random stuff, and alien things. Me learn how to talk English good so many on that class!
thanxs for the summer college essay class. it was really a great help and as a senior, i really needed it. all the teachers were really helpful. thanxs again.
Wonderful teacher! Helps students achieve 5 on their AP test. Very easy to talk to. Teaches without being preachy or lecturey. Great woman.
Yay Mrs. Hall. She's cool, she knows what she's talking about. Learn life.
She can go on the wildest tangents and then rush to finish the original lecture, but it's not always bad. She's quirky but good natured and a nice teacher.
Good alien stories, good stories in general. Highly entertaining!
