Doug Hoffman. Possibly the greatest Orchestra teacher since Mr. Holland retired. His son's acting abilities are unparalleled and he is a trumpet virtuoso. While I sometimes had scuffles with his big personality, it's only because he sincerely loves academia.
Great trumpet player, great director. He always pushes us to play the music as well as we can and always tells us about upcoming opportunities like all-state band.
Mr. Hoffman is an awesome band director. He's not all that smart a person, but he is really great at what he does and is nice unless you play percussion.
This man had a heart attack over us and can back. That's love. He pushes and pushes us to be the best we can and we can only thank him for it.
Mr. Hoffman is the coolest. He really enjoys what he's doing and if you respect him his class is great and he'll do all he can to help you. He's a great teacher
Genuinely enjoys his job, what other teacher have I had that had a heart attack in the middle of class but came back to work right away to direct some more?
