I was in Dr Yarborough class King High class of 1998. This man changed my life! He taught me how to think using deductive reasoning, how to write;expressing my ideas in a thoughtful way while always examining life from everyone's point of view. I always wanted to tell him how much he impacted my life to this day,and I truly loved learning from him,and I am a better person having had him being a part of my life albeit a brief 2 years-- but 2 years I will treasure forever. I love Dr Yarboroug!

Had him 2003. Dr. Y is by far the best teacher I ever had. Yes, some of his theories were a little out there. Yes, he apparently did take LSD until he saw angels. Yes, there are no tests and he literally asks you what grade you want. But it's cause it isn't about grades. It is about blowing your mind to a new openness. This man single handedly had the largest influence on my intellect and ability to see REALITY for what it is of anyone in my life. He let's you sleep/slack. PLEASE DONT!Great man!

Dr. Yarborough is the best teacher you will ever have the luxury/disadvantage of having for a teacher. This man will challenge you on the university level. Have fun critical thinking, whether you like it or not.

I graduated from Countryside HS in 1992, and I had Dr. Yarbrough for both my freshman Honors English class and my senior AP English class. He is the best teacher I have ever had, including college. He made me think, taught me to write, exposed me to great literature, and made me consider the deepest questions of life.
I said he used textbooks "low" (he used real novels, plays, etc) and that he is a "hard" teacher. This will dock his star rating, and that's laughable. He deserves 10.

This man was truly a gift, a great being like Socrates. He seeded the youth before the formal operational stages of consciousness consolidated the ego with harmful conditioning patterns. HE WAS A HERO TO MY ENTIRE COMMUNITY WE RESPECT HIM AS THE HIGHEST WISE MAN WE HAVE COME TO EXCHANGE WITH. GOD BLESS HIM.

He was one of the best teachers I ever had. Yes he was quirky, but that was part of the reason he was effective. He made you think and think differently. I and all my friends still talk about him.

I graduated from Countryside HS in 1984, for some perspective. Mr. Yarborough's Humanities class was one of my all-time favorite classes EVER! He always made you think about things - BIG things. Thank you!

He is the reason I can write. You haven't lived until you've gone through his timed writings. I'm from the class of 1987, and he is hands down, my all time favorite teacher.

Probably the best teacher I've ever had. I learned more in his class in a single block, than in a whole week of my other classes combined. He reshaped the way I see the world, and taught me to questio

Although he was arrogant and undermining, he was a great teacher. There aren't many teachers that are as truly inspirational as was. He actually cared about what he was teaching.

Dr. Y is really a brilliant teacher. He's very nice to you if you take the time to get to know him and talk to him (though he may still pretend not to like anyone). He actually DOES believe what he teaches, but only the few who take the time to talk to him after hours get to hear the full-story. Very easy A. If you don't care about the class, he asks that you be respectful toward those that do and just show up and be quiet. I worked hard in this class because he made me want to... not for the grade.

Don't believe a word he says. He doesn't really believe it himself, he's just trying to see how gullible you are. TOK is an experience worth having (and a study hall if you really need it)

The man teaches like an Eastern mystic. He'll talk to you, he'll criticize your work, he'll get passionate, but he will not teach, for that is not how you learn: He is the finger and not the moon.
