When I graduated in 2016, E.P. Moore was without a doubt the most talented teacher at Punahou.
Mr. Moore is an amazing teacher. He is undoubtably the best English teacher I've ever had, and probably the best teacher at Punahou overall. Yes his classes are challenging, and I would only recommend them if you're serious about English--but if you're up for it, his will be some of the most fulfilling courses you'll ever experience.
The annals of history are catalogued with millions of magnificent minds. Intellectuals such as Plato, Socrates, and Faulkner to name a few. All their achievements pale in comparison with this creation. Once your eyes come to rest upon the unchallenged beauty of this celestial you will likely spend the next 15 minutes in a marvel induced coma. So all in all I would create a new official grading scale for which this man is the standard of all matter in the universe.GodSaveTheQueen&GodBlessAmerica.
I remain convinced that Mr. Moore is the second coming of Jesus Christ
Changed my life
LOVE THIS GUY. he's so cute and knows his stuff!!!! He's like one of those teachers who's super passionate about their subject and so they know pretty much everything. He makes me love english
Mr. Moore is super knowledgeable about what he teaches. I had him for Shakespeare, and I learned a lot. He can be a harsh grader and you have to really work to get a good grade, but that's what make his classes worth taking. He's not always super clear on assignments, so don't be afraid to ask him to clarify.
I learned the most from him than from any other English teacher I had. The assignments aren't hard, just make sure to take a LOT of notes and follow exact directions, or else he will take away even t
sure his class is interesting, but if you want to get a decent grade, make sure you don't use any original ideas or creativity. you MUST do things the way he wants you to do them. also, his handwritin
knows. his. stuff. I've learned so much from him, it's ridiculous. really makes you think about the class, not just regurgitate worn out ideas.
He is really easy once you get used to him. write exactly his idea of the book in your papers and you will get a good grade, otherwise he isn't afraid to fail you. But he does help your writing
He knows his stuff extremely well, is very organized, and is helpful IF you ask him.
i really hope he can give to others what he's given to me; a stonger passion for literature
His classes can be hard, but his understanding of the books is phenomenal (largely because of countless rereads). Definitely got me into English.
Mr. Moore challenges you, I'll give him that. But he can be a know-it-all. My paper on the movie 'Deliverance' had the word 'sodomize.' He said that word didn't exist but it's in the dictionary!
Moore is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He seems tough, but is nice and caring. I've been in 2 of his classes, and have learned so much b/c he makes boring books interesting!
Pushes you out of your comfort zone until you start to see what you're capable of. Passionate about lit. Passionate about teaching.
Mr. Moore is so brilliant! I love him. When he reads poetry, you feel like running up to him and hugging him. He does it so well and lovely.
he's definitely one of the better eng teachers at punahou. maybe not the most personal but still a nice guy. i learned a lot from his class.
he's a nice guy. get off on his good side...it'll be worth it. try hard and it'll pay off.
Very intelligent, very helpful, the most difficult yet the most rewarding teacher
awesome. he leads you to conclusions instead of telling you
class was not what I expected it to be. he's a nice man, if slightly boring.
