Mrs. Foley is definitely one of the best teachers in WHS. The limit of what you can learn in her classes cannot be measured in comparison to any other teacher. She will challenge you to test your thinking, but if you speak up, you will come into the tests with a battle-hardened, Foley-approved idea that will get a good grade anywhere (I used them in other classes as well). Her method is one of the best and she even gave me muffins once!
She is one of the toughest teachers I have ever experienced, but I learned the most from her. Her teaching method is unorthodox at best, but it works. Humanities was one of my favorite classes to go to by the end of the year
Has the most divergent teaching method I've ever seen, yet still taught me more than I ever though was possible.
You have to get used to Mrs. Foley. She has a pretty tough exterior and intimidated me like crazy when I first met her. She is a know-it-all because she literally knows it all and she'll point it out if you have anything wrong. But you realize that she is genuinely teaching for the best interests of her students. Her APUSH class pushed me so hard but I learned a lot. As time progresses, you find out about her wit and humor.
She has a tough exterior and a difficult course and you wont pass by memorizing dates and events but if you but in the effort and listen to what she has to say, you will get so much more out of the course than you would memorizing dates. Also- she is very sweet and unserstanding outside of the classroom so if you are struggling she will be willing to help
She needs a better teaching method that all her students will understand. Bad teacher, yet knows her stuff. How did she win a teaching award?
APUSH was the closest thing I got to a college experience in high school. The skills she teaches you are extremely valuable - I was way ahead in my social science classes because of how she taught me
Good teacher once you get past the know-it-all attitude. You might not agree will everything she says, but most of the time she knows what she's talking about.
kind of know-it-all and I-bet-I-know-more-than-you but funny and nice enough. Gives IMPOSSIBLE multiple choice tests and quizzes though. really hard core curriculum but worth it when you've got it dow
"Did you know that? Bet you didnt know that?" Great teacher though, if you dont get scared off in the first month.
the toughest bestest teacher you will have be lucky enough to have.
Incredibly intimidating, but an incredibly good teacher. Completely worth it.
Nice person, quite smart, but seems to refuse to teach anything in both Hum. and APUSH. I still have no knowledge of Am.history. I am deathly afraid of the prospect of the AP test...we know nothing!
An amazing teacher and person. Knows the material well and an experienced teacher. Humanities was very fun and one of my favorite classes.
I'm beyond terrified of that woman but she is one heck of a teacher. She really knows what she's doing and forces it into your brain.
I was absolustely terrified of her in humanities. Very intimidating because she's incredibly smart and opinionated. Once you figure out CSI, she's easy enough. APUSH was amazing, I got a 5 on the exam
No sweetheart, but extrememly intelligent. I've learned as much from her in one quarter as I did in the past 3 years combined.
All I'm going to say is that I feel bad for her tenants.
AP US is my favorite class, she's entertaining and I feel like I'm getting a ton out of the class. Useful information too, which is awesome. She was incredibly intimidating in humanities...
at first was a bit scary, but as the year progressed became my favorite teacher. gives hard work, but explains well and has hilarious stories.
She took a little getting used to, she is opinionated. However, she is a smart woman, good teacher, and has a lot of good points.
Mrs. Foley is one of my favorite teachers ever. She tells it like it is, and is a very intelligent woman. She will be your biggest advocate is you need her help. Lots of stories.
Mrs. Foley's pretty cool you start of hating her because she' opinionated and all but she really wants you to think for yourself and to do well.
mrs. foley dominates. She is the only teacher cool enough to tell the student that they are wrong. Every other teacher is all nice and flowery. Mrs. Foley is blunt, making her cool
she's a very smart teacher and helps you well, but she never stops talking about herself
It seems like she sets you up to be Wrong! YOu are never right! She just blatently says NO.
She was a very hard teacher, but she knows her stuff and I enjoyed having her as a teacher.
one of the best teachers i have ever had, i am praying to have her again soon and even though some say that she is a femenist nut, we all have our passions
good teacher, is really knowledgable and u learn a lot in her class, even if she is really, really opinionated. if u can, do a project or paper about women, she
the better half of humanities...great teacher and showed us a whole new way to view history...so much better than ecke
Good as long as she doesn't start talking about her legs
The good 1/2 of Humanities, Mrs. Foley was excellent.
a great teacher but a hard grader, she really knows her stuff and is nice
She's strict and not too much fun at times, but she's really nice. If you get her off topic she can be a lot of fun.
She loves her job and works really hard. She will teach you a lot, even though she is strict/tough. She can be off-putting, but underneath she really is nice.
in the long run...great teacher, helped me out a lot...however...not my favorite person...i wasn't her favorite either though
she is a great teacher and very knowledgable, i have had her twice now and i love her class
I had this teacher a few years ago. Did you know that we nominated her for the Disney teacher of the year? u r lucky to have her as your teacher.
She's a fabulous teacher. She often plays the devil's advocate so she might seem to be a feminist or shoot you down. She really likes kids. She's the best!
Was in her West. Civ class. A bit hard, but a good teacher. You earn brownie points if you talk up, even if she doesn't share your opinion
i like her...she's really smart and is willing to go out of her way to help you (i.e. coming to school at 6 pm to review & lending u her own personal books)
she is definetly not that bad, she is so smart and can offer good advice
