I had Mrs. Sullivan for Brit Lit in 1999 and learned for the first time how to love literature, think critically and analyze poetry. She really cared about me and the work that I did. No other teacher has inspired me as much since!
She's pretty biased and she likes to talk about her political and religious views in class. she picks favorites a lot and she grades pretty hard. but aside from that, i had fun in her class. her class discussions are pretty good. she has bad aspects and good aspects
Just...no. She's biased. Majorly. You do not want her for English.
A pretty bad teacher all around. She's extremely biased in that she only agrees with her own opinions, and she picks favorites from the beginning of the year. She grades sporadically, mostly based on how much she likes you, and she never explains her grading. She thinks she is always right, so you have to laugh at all her jokes and agree with her in order to do well in her class. She doesn't accept any late work, whatsoever, and her class is pretty easy if you get on her good side.
Sullivan thinks she is an english god!! She is a horrible teacher. She picks favorites and only believes in her opinion. She doesnt read over half your work because she is so lazy. TRY TO GET ON HER GOOD SIDE CAUSE THAT WILL PROBLY DETERMINE YOUR GHRADE.
she thinks shes a really good teacher but she's not at all. she picks favorites, and her grading system is completely random. she is unclear in her directions, and she is not dedicated at all. she should not be teaching anymore, thats for sure
Well sophomores, good luck b/c Sullivan can't teach (although she thinks she can) and doesn't explain the homework. She grades essays w/o a rubric... total b.s. I think someone needs to tell her it's way past her time to retire so i'll be the first..... "Mrs. Sullivan get out of our school, yours students hate you."
totally takes favorites and should retire. she forgot to come to class once - - that was really bad, but chill for us!
She gives us too much busy-work (posters, line-memorization, etc.).
mrs sullivan really is a good teacher. take copious notes during discussions and write detailed papers and she will love you. also, offer to retrieve/buy her coffee. you will be her favorite :)
i dont know what everyone else is talking bout. esully is by far the best teacher that i've had at tp. shes a little nutso & vague. fman eng was the best! we had great discussions & made great friends
here's it put into simple words: i'm doing everything possible to NOT get her for a second year. that's how bad she is.
arrrggg i you don't get anything useful in this teacher!!! she is too lazy to grade papers or do anything so i think she needs to retire. but all i can say is she has a beautiful personality. a personality of a true, loyal, english teacher but she is just too lazy to do anything. plus i think we get too much random hw that we don't really need. D=
wow... thats all i have to say, baic things you need to know about her: gives lots of hw, cant explain anything for beans, ur confused half the time in class, tests are hard, doesnt explain things for projects, and basically leaves you alone to do everything..and the best of all you prolly will have lots of days where you stay up until like 4 aclock tryin to finish things, because she changes the due dates about A MILLION TIMES...ehh woman is annoying sorry
ms sullivan is a really nice person but not that good of a teacher she tries to teach you stuff but shes not very clear the class was easy, but it could have been easier if she had been more clear on things like directions for reports. oftenshe didn' explain things and many of us had to do things X2
She makes you understand it. To some people, who just want easy A's and think English isn't a "real" class, Mrs. Sullivan won't seem like a good teacher.
She won't tell us what she wants in all her projects and once actually said to me, "How am I supposed to know? I just work here."
The only reason this class is difficult is because Mrs. Sullivan is so unclear. I don't think she knows what she wants herself for the projects.
can't really appreciate how good her class is until your out of it, then u'll be wanting back in
oh my gosh! I really learned alot from her. she's a sweetie and class is fun. she laughs lots.
if you don't want to work, you won't want this teacher. she's fun but grades a little hard. you learn alot.
she is hard to catch but gives us her e-mail. fun work, not ordinary stuff that we're used to in other classes. hard grader on writing. creative, mostly.
She is nice, and usually smiling, but the guidelines for our projects are never clear, and it is hard to do well because we don't know what she wants.
