Moody is an understatement. Like other students have said, if you're not a favorite you'll get tons of attitude and little help. The sarcasm is a bit much and it sometimes gets uncomfortable when she is openly mocking or making fun of a student. It's been an entertaining class since each day is a different Ms. Lincoln based on her mood.
Honestly the best English teacher I have ever had. She is kind and understanding. She helps you when needed, and is very kowledgable of her subject.
I would not recommend this teacher that is, unless you are one of her favorite students. When other reviews mention a constant moodiness, they are exactly right. She also seemed to have a somewhat inflated ego that is evident mostly in her voice. She states that students should fit into her schedule in a tone that implies a sense of entitlement that she has. That ego will cause her to only explain things (vaguely) once and after that she thinks that, any confusion you may have is your own fault.
She is not an easy teacher, but she is the reason why I can write an essay. In the span of two days I went back to her for the same problem 7 times and she was patient and eventually I got it. She made all of my writing better.
She definitely has a passion for literature, and I respect that. She has mood swings that change faster than the seasons in New England. She's not too bad of a teacher so far, you just have to try hard. She is better at teaching us to understand the stories than any other english teacher I have, and she really makes you work hard at detail. She's not too bad of a teacher
Literally one of the easiest classes I've ever taken, but jesus was it a hassle. She's ridiculously and notoriously moody. Some days she'll be easy going and chill and then the next day she'll be super serious and just grill you. Others are right, don't get on her bad side or it's over for you. If you're one of her favorites than you literally cruise into an A.
Ms.Lincon is one of my favorite teachers. Her class can be hard but she really helps you become a better a writer. As long as you may attention and actually read the books you should be fine. She likes it when students share their opinions and answer questions. So if your more shy and quite like I was it may take some time for her to notice you.But she is really nice and extremely smart. So if you try hard and not get on her bad side you will do great.
Ms. Lincoln plays favorites more than any other teacher I've had. If you are not one of her favorites, she will belittle you in front of your peers, as well as grade your tests and papers with more scrutiny. On top of all that, her answers to reasonable questions are often snarky and very vague. Would NOT recommend.
I am unfortunately a student in Ms. Lincoln's class. My main problem is with her clarifying things. She will explain how to do things on tests very vaguely, and if you ask what she meant by that, she says something like "do what it says on the paper". She also rarely allows more than one class (84 minutes) to complete a test, making all the students rush to complete the advanced question and not allowing us to complete it later. She also says "sorry not sorry" a lot, which is so unprofessional.
she is a very good teacher who knows what she's talking about. however she picks favorites and luckily i was able to be one of her favorites so she was very friendly to me and we could joke, which made the class go by much easier. But if you are like most people who she does not like you are in trouble, Get on her good side by sitting up front and being engaged the first few weeks of class
Funny to see 10 years later after I had her she's getting the same reviews. If I had to guess her cruelty was driven by her own unhappiness.
Awesome teacher, seems to care about her job. She's really strict and sometimes gets kind of scary when she's mad but she's usually funny and nice.
She is a phenomenal teacher! She can be tough at times, but if you try hard in her class she will acknowledge and praise you for it. Best teacher at BHS, hands down. Really funny, too.
The best English teacher I have ever had. The knowledge I was able to attain from merely sitting in her classroom is exponential. She is truly underestimated and unappreciated by many students; she is the one teacher I know who will spend time to help you through life issues outside of the classroom. Definitely a teacher to stick with :)
Super helpful and a really great person. Trustworthy and funny and great to be around. :)
Decent teacher who brings an interest to the subject, but can be extremely immature, overly sarcastic, and plays favorites. She also picks certain students whom she dislikes, treats people very rudely
she is a really good teacher, but sometimes i can't understand whether she likes me or not?
Doesn't teach too well for a new teacher, but easy to get an A in.
