She can be tough and pushes her students to the max- sometimes it gets annoying when we have other higher level classes such as other AP and Honors- she doesn't give any slack for it which means students sometimes have to choose between Latin, Sleep, and AP. It is quite ridiculous. That being said- she's a pretty good teacher.
She expects the best work from every student and pushes us to do it.
In Sassenberg's class you cannot slack off you have to do all your homework, study for tests/quizzes, and be prepared for vocab drills. You do have to get used to her and her personality. But she can be mean, you just have to get on her good side.
I have her currently at Century where she now teaches , and she isn't that bad of a teacher. Shes been very helpful with our class, and so far no administration has needed to be in her classes. One of the best Latin teachers i have had since 3rd grade
Personally, I have a very hard time in her class because I'm not good at memorization. But other than that, Sassenberg is a really good teacher and makes Latin fun for students.
Everyone in my class thinks she's insanely cool, but I've heard horror stories...
She goes really fast in her class, but if you really try to keep up you'll do fine.
