I am constantly checking the clock in this class... Boringgg. She's really nice when you're not in class, but in class she can be a bit intimidating.
I thnk she could be a little nicer to the students, especailly the ones who really CAN write. She also needs to be more understanding of students who try their hardest to make up their missed work.
Thanks to her I feel really well prepared to write in college.
Teaches very effectively, but does not get papers back quickly.
I like her and the discussions can be pretty cool...but sometimes I feel like she only cares about the seniors, which isn't so cool. Plus, it takes months (no joke) to get papers back.
Used to be good, but has really slipped for our class. We never get stuff back!
we have to turn in our stuff on time, but EVERY SINGLE PROGRESS REPORT that she gave us was late this year
I think she eats every paper we turn in...we get very few of them back...
My brother had her and she was good, but she is not so good now.
Zero helpful feedback from Ms Ligon. No help at all. (My child got an "A" for her in SPITE of this.)
I'm in college now too and Ms. Ligon was my favorite teacher, in fact she still is.
She definitely has favorites. Easy if you are a favorite. I almost always made the EXACT same or close to the same grade on all tests.
She's difficult and expecting, but certainly good at what she does. She had the tendency to favor some and bypass others, but even then you leave her class a better writer.
She's a good teacher and prepares you for the next level of english. She will call on you so pay attention!
I'm in college now--but Ms. Ligon was the best teacher I've ever had
