Mr. Latimer is ok.
all he does is demand you to start with black and end with black and have credits. also he teaches by showing you cgborn for 3d animation. i could do the class at home. he is really only there to supervise.
I loved his animation class. The thing is, you'll want to have some experience using Flash prior to the class, and you have to be able to draw. The learning curve for Flash is pretty steep, and you can't expect to animate anything decent if your drawings are bad. Everyone's final animations varied in quality, but the class was great overall.
He is a harsh grader, but he is humorous at times and boring the rest of the times.
Alright. This is a computer animation class, yet if you can't draw... No wait, COPY drawings from big time animators you can't do the homework... Yes, homework. In an elective. and if you don't feel comfortable with your work or people you can't opt out of showing it without losing points on your grade. Yeah... Animation SHOULD be fun. But having Latimer sort of makes it feel like a chore. And he has a hard time comprehending questions, be prepared to repeat yourself.
If you can't draw freehand, do not take his classes.
awsome class to take if your looking for something challenging
He's very serious, but once you get to know him, hes a nice guy. Very intelligent. Very fair. I also love graphic design.
Animation is a little hard for an elective but a fair grader and teaches an interesting class. The only elective where I actually learned something.
You made graphic design a good time, I miss your class.
Awesome animation class - really fun. There's a film festival at coolidge corner with your work each year too. Animation is better than graphic design.
