Honestly such an awesome teacher. Honestly he makes class and homework assignments fun.
if you have this teacher, good luck. he is very unorganized and doesn't really teach at all, so it is more independent learning.
This was my favorite class this past year. I liked the video lectures, group projects, and many interesting assignments. It was great to have the opportunity to do extra credit assignments and test corrections. He cares about his students and wants them to do well in the class. It's a lot of work, but you learn a lot.
APES was my favorite class this past year. Mr. Ledgerwood requires many interesting assignments and group projects. I liked learning from his video lectures. The opportunity to do test corrections offers a great way to learn from mistakes. He really cares about his students.
He's one of my favorite teachers at Gunn! He gives video lectures for homework in APES and allows test corrections so that students can actually learn from the challenging tests and quizzes. He mixes things up and gives a wide variety of projects, labs, presentations, hw assignments, and tests in APES. He has perfected this class and really knows what he is doing.
He knows his stuff and tries to make the class fun, but for a high school Chem class that's not enough. He's unorganized, hard to ask for help from, unclear in his lectures and directions, and he picks favorites
I read most of the comments about Mr. Ledgerwood on this site, and most have elements of truth, but they all are complete exaggerations. Mr. Ledgerwood is very knowledgeable about the issue, but he can be desultory in his lectures when he gets into the subject, because he is passionate about what he teaches. He knows he makes the class a lot of work, but also adopts an easy grading policy because of it. And overall, he is a very nice, caring guy, and the best citizen you will ever meet.
Funny and nice guy, but probably the worst teacher ever. Who knows how he is still teaching.
i did great in everything with him, made the class fun
funny guy. he can be unclear about what he's teaching, but hes a good person
If you go to him for help he will do everything he can.
does not teach, tests are OVER 9000 IN TERMS OF DIFFICULTY
knows his stuff but doesn't take teaching seriously. you will teach everything to yourself. his TAs grade like monkeys. if you want chem H credits, waaaaay easier than connell. easy A but no learning
always felt lost or like there was some memo that i missed. cool guy, bad teacher.while he's teaching he goes so off-topic that he makes it impossible to even know what he's trying to teach. he's fair
He is not exactly a bad teacher. He tries to make you figure stuff out on labs, so that you understand it better, and then explains it. He does not just give lectures. You can always go after school.
Way too stressed out that he doesn't have time or can't make the effort to help us. Doesn't grade our assignments himself and then gets shirty when we point out inaccuracies. Nice guy. Bad teacher.
not the greatest teacher per se, but at least one won't have a false sense of security, you know that you're behind everybody else...
good if you don't want to learn anything. good if you like video games. good if you dont like chem. really nice guy, loves his students.
likes to use powerpoints. gets his stuff from other teachers or the web. doesn't teach well. but easy. not much work and nice curves.
As a person, he is extremely cool and funny, but when it comes to teaching, if you actually want to LEARN, this is not the teacher for you
Nice guy. Not the best chem teacher. Very leanient, especially round finals or when he sees not many ppl did something
coolest teacher ever, super nice, super lenient, super cool, not really good at teaching, but what the hey as long as your not going to be a chem major
Definetly a great guy. However, not the greatest teacher. Doesn't adequetaly explain what to do on Labs, Assingments, Worksheets. Can be frustrating. Stop Haloing, help me pass!
Awesome teacher. Easily the best science teacher at school.
I really don't know what everyone is talking about. Ledge's class was really easy to get an A in if you just did the work. As long as you did the HW, then you'd have done good.
Mr.Ledgerwood is one of the best science teachers. He brings an interesting, humorous approach to teaching. His classes are interesting but challenging due to the course material.
r u kindin me, he's hard??!! thats jus science 1ac homie not the guy dude. he's ez compared to wu and moser, like when i tcomes to grading labs and projects. But he explains nada and doesnt help for test so i think ppl should avoid him
really easy compared to wu. if u are an independent learner take him since as long as u know ur stuff hes real ez(dont xpect him 2 help u)
blah ledgerwood needs to stop talking about video games so i can pass a test!
Eric is a halo fanatic and is extremely nice but he isnt that great at teaching. Sometimes you wish he was helping you with that exam instead of plaing halo.
Acts really cool but doesn't explain anything clearly and doesn't give real help or guidance or reinforcement of concepts. NOT a great teacher
He's a good teacher! He teaches us how to think about science...and not just force feeding us factoids.
he should seriously respect the fac that kids are stupid a lot of the time at elarning conepts- SHOULD EXPLAIN STUFF LIKE HE SHOULD!!!
he doesnt really explain what he wants... esp for labs and tests. ESPECIALLY labs. and he doesnt use any of his own stuff. but hes really nice and funny
An awesome guy but hasnt been "gunnatized" yet... needs to be more clear
keeps getting off topic, doesn't teach most of the stuff, but gives big nice curves (in grades)
My my, I remember the electric pickle. The class is very technologically oriented (as in, most of the worksheets and homeworks are online)
horrendously unclear lectures, and he expects us to know things that we don't
