Melvin is the best. You will work hard, but learn a lot. Definitely take AP Euro. He prepared us well for the AP Test with writing practice and his memorization processes. Tests are difficult, but there is sometimes a curve. Pay Attention in class!! Literally type most of what he says so you can look at it later and decipher it. There are some golden nuggets in his lectures. Do analyze, and don't be afraid to ask him questions (unless he says no questions). We love you Eric, amirite? XD

I loved Mr. Melvin's class. I was thinking about taking AP Euro, but I didn't because I found him intimidating at the meeting. I ended up getting him for World History, and I finished with an A plus. I'm a senior now, and I still remember his class like yesterday. His "memorization process" is so helpful, and if you do the work, the tests are a piece of cake. Melv is so funny, engaging during his lectures, and is probably overqualified for his teaching job bc he's so smart, but he's great.

Mel-Dog is one of my favorite teachers. He's very interesting to listen to and he'll often go off on very entertaining rants. His favorite phrase is "This is a college prep class." and he's right. You will read a lot of primaries and write a lot of papers, unlike the other history classes. He does go very in depth and will help you along the way. He's supper nice, and as long as you study hard and do your work, you'll be fine.

Amazing teacher and person. Sometimes is too smart for the class, haha. Highly recommend if you are able to retain a lot of information and a good reader.

Eric Scott Melvin is a very attractive teacher. I love it when he talks about his children and life. And most importantly, I love his new contacts, and his jokes. Everytime I enter his classroom, I get this warm feeling inside me. Then we he gives his educational lectures, this warm feeling comes out.

Mr. Melvin is probably one of the best history teachers I have ever had. He is doing a great job preparing us for the harder tests, and he's open to help if you need it. He is hilarious and entertaining in class, and does a good job at engaging students. He will never make you talk in class by calling on you if you're shy, but he will check to make sure if you're not talking out of shyness or not understanding the material. His class is fantastic

Eric Scott Melvin is a very intelligent man, however isn't always clear on directions. He refuses to help you unless you have work for him. He also has very hard test that require multiple weeks of studying, the average is usually 75 or below. His test average goal for the year is above 75....that's not what a teachers should shoot for. His class is somewhat like taking an AP or Honors class that you DID NOT sign up for. In class we never go over content, just primaries , which are hard to get.

Eric Melvin is by far my favorite teacher I have ever had. Although he is the hardest, and his tests are basically impossible unless you study for 50+ hours, he has taught me so much. He is hilarious and has so many great stories, he always gives me the nod when I walk into class everyday, and he always asks me about stuff going on outside of his class. His class definitely prepared me for every other class and im so grateful that I got to know him.
